We live together already--I think it's important if you really want to see how your other half (not your better half ) lives before you tie the knot. I've learned SO MUCH about FH's habits this way. . .and how to deal with some of them.

yea well my parents r old fashioned I basically live with him but come home to change and stuff if that makes sense

we aren't. we moved in together after a year of dating. my parents actually encouraged it. they thought it was important for us to live with our significant other b/c people are sometimes different once you live with them. i know someone who waited and she had a REALLY hard time adjusting. but they also were living in his mother's house! not even in an apartment. the mom moved into his room and gave them the master bedroom. NO THANKS!
but i think its awesome the people that wait. i haven't lived home for more than a few months at a time since i was 18 so it was different for me.

If my parents still lived on LI i would have prefered to wait till the wedding to move in and the only reason is so i could save all of my money towards a house.

Living together for awhile now..but we are also older and I am kind of happy, because you learn a lot when you actually live with somebody...It so different and for me it was kind of a test if we were really compatible. Of course everybody has their own way of doing it, but we were also both living with roomates, FH with 2 guys and me with 1 girl, so we never really had a lot of privacy and actually living with somebody and mastering day to day things is not easy sometimes....

We lived together for about 6 months before our wedding only to save money. I think its really nice to be able to wait till after the wedding, makes it really romantic and exciting!

Officially, we don't live together, but he spends every night at my place. It's different because we're older. I have lived on my own for over 15 years. If we were both paying rent, we would be living together, but FH lives with hisgrandfather and doesn't pay anything so half his stuff is there and half of it is at my place. We are house hunting now so hopefuly before the wedding, we will be in our new house - if not we will be in my apt for a while.

well we're still on the hunt for a house...it's really hard because fh is being extremely picky where at this point i'll just take anything but he says we should be choosy about a house b/c it's a great market to buy
sooooo what we'll probably do is get our house situated and fh will prob stay there a few weeks before me and then i'll just put myself there after the wedding...what about u? do u have a place already?
I'm with you girls!!! So glad, I thought I was the only one.
Same situation, FH will probably move in a few weeks before, I will move in after the wedding.

We brought the house in Oct and move in together. We are both in our 40s, so it was more of a having the house now and getting marry later.
