This is precisely why I HATE coming home...Everytime I see my family they feel the need to tell me why my wedding planning in wrong and all the faults they see in my FH (he is very quiet and they are not). They always need to tell me what I need to fix and what is the 'respectful' thing to do. Mind you - these are ppl who never call me when I am away and never care enough to ask how I am and my life is -- but they still feel the need to tell me what to do and what i am doing wrong...
I AM SO ANNOYED! I want to go home....

I know! That is why I am paying for and doing the planning on my own. My family jokes my wedding is a big secret. No I just want it my way! I need no opinions unless I ask. Good or bad! It will all work out! Remember you need them even if it is hard to deal with!

I am so sorry they do this to you! I can't stand when family pass judgement over things that are not important. You would hope that b/c your FH loves and respects you, and is a decent honest person (I don't know him but I am sure he is) that would be enough.
Just yesterday FH's grandma (his own grandma, not even mine) passed some little judgement on him in relation to his brother. Wow, my shackles were raised! So I kind of feel your pain.

I know how you feel! I actually just had my father meet the FH's parents. And it went better than planned except all the sudden how many people we had on a preliminary list got brought up. Then FH's mom starts riling up my father about money and how many guest. Oh like I need her help! It is hard enough getting my father to pay for things! On top of that many of the guest are from them and we don't even really know or know at all!

We're going through the SAME thing right now. It's really hard to please everyone. My fiance is paying for the entire wedding so we are doing what makes us happy and that is so tough for some people to deal with. When my family starts in, I just yes them all to death! UGH -- I got into a fight again with my mom today! She HATES my candy buffet idea for the favors. I finally just told her that I dont care what she thinks cause its what I realllly want.
