why are you glad your waiting till 2010

so... most if not all of us have said, 'it seems so far away, i want to get married now!, i can't wait' etc.

So.... what are the reasons your glad your waiting till 2010.

I'll say the first obvious one... $. I really have NO idea how we would get married in 2009 because we will be saving till the very last possible minute.

any other reasons, school, trips, fam stuff, etc.

i have to agree with u. it is all about the money.

also...this will sound stupid but i like even numbers...i like the way 2010 sounds better than 2009 (not why i decided to do 2010 but something i thought of after)

money and planning time--we are having an almost exactly two year engagement, and there's NO WAY i'd be able to do it in one!

Well, my sis just got married in Nov. so I am glad it will give some time in between ours for people to recover (we have alot of OOT people). Also, our lack of money since we are paying pretty much entirely for the wedding. Oh, and because I like having the time to plan and enjoy having something to look foward to! Plus, more time on LIW!

well as most know, i am in the 2011 boat....we are waiting of course because of money...i would like to save for the wedding we want and still put money away for a home....

also, I wanted to finish grad school (maybe do some post-grad training) and be stable in my career...

i am graduating this semester & FH isn't graduating until the end of the fall semester
2010 we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary
i like even numbers better

In all honesty, I really wanted to get married this year, but there were no halls that I liked that had spring/summer/fall Saturdays left except Halloween.

But now I look at it as having more time to plan and not having to stress about it.

The only reason we waited was because we couldnt find the main vendors we wanted for the time frame we would have needed in 2009. I have two friends getting married in June and July and I would have had to cram it in August or September and there was really nothing available for then when I got engaged.

So I am glad I waited so I had the pick of every vendor I have booked so far! Oh and of course saving extra money is nice too.

I'm really not at all glad we are waiting that long haha...

...we chose 2010 because we need a summer wedding or my grandparents in Florida will not be able to come...and THIS summer is just way way way too soon!! I'd shoot myself in the face if I had to do it all by this summer!!

But I'm worried that my other grandpa won't make it until then...so I wish it were now.

2- I will be done with school
3- I wanted a winter wedding and Jan 09 was only 11 months after engagment, too soon for me.
4-its corny but....

we met in 2006
engaged in 2008
married in 2010
baby in 2012? who knows.. lol
