Why do bosses SUCK sometimes?

Sorry girls, NWR.. Im just having a bad day back at work...

I get an email from my boss saying- hope you had a happy thanksgiving- but HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY YOU ARE A F*CK UP:

and basically just interrogating me on a project I did, asking me- Do you not understnad this? Whats the problem? etc etc... Basically because I had a typo on the project... Hes nit-picky and catches little teeny mistakes, and now he FLIPPED on me for a typo...

Theres 9 dreaded hours left of the day and I just wanna LEAVE and cry

Anyone need a graphic artist? I know someone looking for a new job...

OH- And I hope you all had a very happy holiday with your families and friends!

I know what you are going thru I am working for a mad man and he does the same thing. He flips out when there a typos andno offence but no one is perfect. He for sure is not. I am sorry you have to deal with such an a$$. Hang in there, what I tell myself is that it pays for my wedding and then after that all bets are off. Hang in there.

Thanks girl.. it definatly does SUCK that they have to be like that.. unfortunately we do have MANY bills to pay 8o/
wedding, mortgage, utitlities. It never ends... and we gotta suck it up for that.. I HATE IT!!!!!

I know how you feel because that is exactly how my boss is. It doen't matter that everything else you do is great....no just a typo will set them off. Take a deep breath, go to the ladies room and then try to have a great day!!!!! By the way does he get a mean nasty look on his face when he is nitpicking like that?

I have the same issue with our company VP who is about as useful as t i ts on a bull I basically do his job but don't reap the benefits of his salary or company BMW Fortunatley I don't report to him and I do like my boss (who is also his boss). For some reason my boss loves this idiot so any time I go to him and vent he just humors me.

Aren't you a Graphic Designer? It's not your fault if there is a type-o. If our designers have a type-o it's my @ ss bc it's up the the Marketing Director or Art Director to sign off on final artwork. That is sooo not fair what you're dealing with!!

Exactly! My client signs off on the artwork, with ERRORS and then my boss finds it and yells at ME for it... yes, i made a mistake, but HELLOOOOO- the CLIENTs job is to CHECK THE D@MN THING! arghhh!

I hate bosses! Atleast u like ur REAL boss thats AWESOME.. i hope that you move up that ladder and BMW flips your bill on a new car soon

He sounds like a bi-polar freak!! A typo set him off. He's got issues. I'd say if it wasn't for the fact that you have a morgage, and a wedding to pay for, I'd up and leave for the day, till he comes to his senses on what an asset you are to the company. What a piece of S H I T!!! Love ya Ro

As long as that jack @ ss is here I will only go as high as my current position (Director). Trust me, he isn't going anywhere bc he isn't capable of doing anything. UGH I can't stand him. I stupidly invited him (well sent him and STD) and he comes into my office yesterday and says 'so is the wedding still on?' WHO SAYS THAT??? It was like a scene from the show 'The Office.' This is the idiot that is in charge of managing our accounts!!!

Because we are in similar lines of work I can say that you are TOTALLY in the RIGHT here. There have been times when I have approved ad's and had our desingers submitt the artwork to magazines and there have been errors. I take the fall bc it's my fault not the magazines or my designers. The client is just passing the blame I've seen it a million times and it p is ses me off Don't get upset, just know that there is an 07 bride that is soooo on your side!!!

UGH! I HATE that he pays me well.. I DEFINATLY wouldve BOUNCED this morning otherwise..

I have a PT job also, that would LOVE to take me back as a FT employee, but that doesnt pay as well... So Im unhappily stuck here because of the $... I heard prostitution pays well too... Thanks for the spport mel!!!!

AWWW. Im sorry that ur day is not going well hunny. Sometimes bosses have theri own bad days and take it out on their employees. Its not right but it happens. I hope ur day gets better!!!
