I really enjoy cooking, but I hate cleaning up! So things will work out if he cleans up all the time.

I actually really love to cook. If we aren't doing takeout or pizza I'm the one who cooks.
On very rare occassions, FH will cook for me (but only when it's like a birthday, or anniversary or something along those lines). He's cooked me grilled cheese on a non-occassion day LOL

I don't cook, Im a baker and FH hates that. He keeps hinting that I need to learn how to cook, and he wont even eat anything I bake because he wants me to stop baking and put all my energy into cooking

I can't cook either! Don't worry about it. I can bake though! lol thank god FH can cook. I have this aversion to touching raw meat. I will make the side dished though, but they never come out as good as FH. I feel like I am disgracing my italian heritage! lol

FH thinks he can't cook anything other than hunk 'o meat, but truthfully he's a better cook than he thinks.
As for me, his favorite line is 'she cooks, I eat.' My mom had me helping in the kitchen as soon as I could sit up on the counter and hold a spoon. She gave me a small knife by age 4, and at 5 I grated my entire thumbnail off. So yeah, I've definitely been in the kitchen for a long time and LOVE to cook. Hardest part is figuring out what to make...once that is done the rest is easy and fun for me.

Re: Wifey Duties....
both my parents were phenomenal cooks .. so i never got the opportunity to learn from them, only eat, lol.
but when we purchased our home, i started to take advantage of the kitchen.. and once you get the hang of it, you'll start enjoying it and experimenting with ingredients.
start off with a few simple cookbooks!
good luck!

I love to cook. and i cook every day. Im actually a picky eater (dont even eat veggies or any type of salad) so i have to cook everyday for myself and to bring in lunch. I grew up in a dominican household and was taught to cook young, so i mostly cook lots of 'hispanic' food. Pretty much, rice, beans and meat everyday.

Re: Wifey Duties....
my FH cant cook anything! It's pathetic. I'm going to sign us up for cooking classes.
LOL, my FH has n illusions of me being a Betty Crocker wife though.
I don't clean..he does. he also does the laundry and irons. We've been living together forever so at this point he knows what he's getting!
