Woodlands Brides - Oval/Oblong Tablescapes

Anyone with oval/oblong tables... how are you decorating your tables? Are you using just what the venue gives you or are you spicing them up a bit? I'm considering doing some sort of overlay but i don't know where to start with getting the right size and price. Woodlands brides, do you know the dimensions of the tablecloths that would fit the tables?

I am just going to use what they have - I figured my flowers are going to be bright enough so I didn't want to overwhelm the tables. I thought about doing table runners or colored napkins but I was afraid it might be too much. If you are thinking of adding embellishments, one of their recommended vendors is really good (Table Wraps).

My mom made plum colored table runners. We used them over the ivory damask tableclothes with the gold chargers and the gold napkins. It turned out really nice! The fabric was really inexpensive and she just used the hem tape so she didn't even need to sew anything.

I'm trying to find a pic for you! Unfortunately, my photographer didn't take a pic of the centerpieces/tables. Ladies-be very specific with your photographer!!!

I am doing one high centerpiece for each table...I figured the height and fullness will be enough for the table.

I do still have the table runners-how many do you need? Some of them may have wax on them-I'll need to look through them. I can give you more specifics tomorrow? My colors were plum and gold!

Re: Woodlands Brides - Oval/Oblong Tablescapes

Hiii! I went to a florist and he recommended doing three low centerpieces so I will probably be doing that. He suggested a gold toned antique looking vase which I also liked. I am thinking of doing cream/ green (leaves and steams) and pale pink for the flowers.

Woodlands Brides - Oval/Oblong Tablescapes

Woodlands tables are 8'x4'. I'm doing high and low centerpieces. I'm still deciding on the exact flowers I'm using so I dunno how much extra $ I'm going to have to use on other things.

That would be great. I'm expecting 15 tables or so. 16 at the most (but i hope not!)

Great minds think alike with the gorgeous colors.

We're doing mixed high and low centerpieces... an antique gold and glass high vase and the lows are oval with 3 gold tapered candles and we'll probably also have scattered votives.

I really can't wait to see your photos!!!!! You'll be my inspiration :)

Hey I went to pedestals but I am probably not using them. I haven't really gone to any florists but I liked the idea of gold vase and 3 short centerpeices. I don't have the vase he showed me it in silver. I just googled gold antique vase and found this one that looks similar but without the thin base that makes it higher.

I used Black Dahlia and we did a mix of high and low also. The low were 3 round vases, one big one and a smaller one on either side. For the high, we did three round vases, a small, medium and tall. I liked the mix of high and low, I didn't want everything to be super matchy. I also had about 15 tables. I spoke to my mom and she thinks she has extra fabric. The runners didn't go the length of the table. I didn't want them competing with all the other stuff on the table-I hate when it seems too cluttered! The runner stopped before it hit any plates or glasses. Everything is packed up at my parents but I will don't work until late on Fridays so I will dig stuff out then and I'll take some pictures. If you are interested, just let me know. I'll give you whatever you want!
