Worth a shot... anyone been to a wedding at Castle on the Hudson
Hi everyone, I have a food tasting/menu picking evening on Wednesday to finalize things for the wedding... I've been to their restaurant and to private parties there, and also stayed at the hotel as a guest, BUT I realized I've never been to a wedding at my own venue. [doing the V-8 head slap] So.... if you've been to one there, any heads-ups (oo that's an awkward phrase) you can give me? I really think they'll do a phenomenal job but one can never be too careful! TIA!!

I've been to Equus twice, and to one of their wedding showcases when it was all decorated for a wedding. We tried the 'wedding' food and everything.....it was VERY nice and the people were very friendly. We didn't chose it because we A LOT of their menu was seafood and shellfish which my father and I are HIGHLY allergic to. One thing that made me think twice about them also was the Maitre'D was a little forgetful and when I asked him a question about decorating the room....he forgot .....then when I asked a follow up question....he said 'oh thats right, there is no one here to answer you, but you can call at another time'....I was at their showcase!?!?! How could 'that person' not be there....so my advice is to be on top of them, but the facility is BEAUTIFUL! It's a CASTLE!!!!!!
Good Choice!

I always used to go there for weekend getaways. It is my fave spot and I always thought wee would get married there. It is just too far away. :( Your guests could always stay at the tarrytown house estate (much cheaper for accomadations.) enjoy..
