your maid-of-honor told you she was going to a U-2 concert 3 nights before your wedding and 1 night before your rehearsal dinner? I don't know how to feel.

Just as long as she wasn't doing something stupid that night I wouldn't be mad. I think U2 concerts are calm enough that she'll be ok! But I understand you being concerned, you don't want to take any chances. Don't worry, everything will be ok!

The question has already been posed, but WHY in the world would you be mad? Maybe there is some other reason you are mad at her, and this is just something tangible to be mad about?? I don't get it.

What would you prefer she do that night?

What if three days before your wedding she had to work late? or attend a party with FH? or had some other obligation?

Why should you be mad? This isnt her wedding. She doesnt need to be home every night bc youre getting married. Im not saying it mean, just wouldnt expect someone to focus their social life on my wedding. Isnt that a bit selfish?

Well, i don't think anybody was trying to make you feel stupid, but to be honest, it is a really strange question that provokes some interesting thoughts. Honestly it sounds like there must be more to the story...I guess it is kind of hard to understand why you should be mad at someone for having a life 3 DAYS BEFORE your wedding.

Considering that I have already seen U2. I wouldn't be mad - I'd be envious.

On a similar note, FH plays football for a league in the city with a bar. Football season ends about 3 weeks before our wedding. Am I going to make him stop playing because I am afraid he will break something? Hell no. He is a big boy and is responsible. He loves football and as long as he doesnt make me watch, he can do as he pleases.

I wouldnt be mad either. Maybe if she was going the night BEFORE your wedding, but she has plenty of time if its two days before.

Don't worry, my MOH just informed me that she's planning on having a BABY June or July next year. My wedding is June25th !! Im still not sure how to react to THAT one!!!

No - not at all. She has a right to do her own thing when there isn't anything scheduled for hte wedding.

I'm going to that concert, so I couldn't be mad...

I guess she just should be conscientious enough to make sure everything that she is responsible for is completed. Unless she completely flaked out on things, I wouldn't be.
