i think its a little too pale.. depending on what color you are wearing.

well its a nice dress but did she get it in that color? cause IMHO, it looks ivory, which is my color so I would be a little upset if she at least didnt ask me first

i've been to a few wedding where the mothers have worn off-white, or a super pale pink...

i don't think it's a big deal, but i'd understand why you would be upset

I'm also wearing ivory and I'm kind've in shock.

well....mine bought her dress and i don't even know what it looks like.. I would so a bit of color, it is a bit pastelish

OH i 100% don't think that is the right thing to do.

BUT keep in mind: you will only have a couple of pictures where she is even near you! even though her color will be close to yours, no one will be looking at anyone but you.

I can't lie I would be mad. I don't think anyone should be wearing a color that close to your dress.

um, YES. But honestly, she is the one who is gonna look silly. You know ppl talk about super light colored MOB/G dresses. Theres no way shes gonna be able to come close to upstaging you

I think the dress looks pale because of the background. But if you stand it next to a white or even ivory dress, it has some champagn/pink undertones. The MIL wont take attention away from you with this dress, its very plain. I wouldnt get mad at this ... Just my opinion....

I would definitely be a little annoyed... nobody should be wearing that color to a wedding.

i would be mad...my fmil mentioned that she wanted a champagne dress (mine is ivory) and i wasnt too happy. its not really about being upstaged, i just think its a little rude. JMO
