well its a nice dress but did she get it in that color? cause IMHO, it looks ivory, which is my color so I would be a little upset if she at least didnt ask me first

She should have asked you if you minded first if anything. People have very different opinions on that tradition these days and some people really believe it's totally ok to where white to weddings and some think it's ridiculuos. She may not even realize that it's a big deal to you.

I think she realized its a big deal when I wrote to her, its very pretty but did you order it in that color?

She wrote back yes but its not as white as it looks...

i wouldnt. i recently saw pics on the knot and this girl had everyone in whit and it looked so beautiful.

I would not be mad unless I thought it was done with specific intent to upstage me or something. I too have seen MOB/MOG in off white, cream, ivory and pale pink. My feeling is as long as it is not done maliciously and the dress doesn't actually resemble a wedding dress I would not get mad.

where did she get it from? does it come in different colors? I just showed my mom it and she likes it(not in that color though)

I have a similar situation only....

my FMIL decided to wear the same designer as my dress. (Pnina Tornai) except she didnt like any of the dresses that Pnina makes for evening dresses. So, she got a wedding gown in a different color!! and yes its gray and doesnt look like a wedding gown anymore but still like *** ?!

Dunno but I would've highhhhly preferred black. The dress comes in 6-yes 6-other colors!!!! Including sage which is gorgeous!

IMO, it wouldn't bother me... she could have gotten a different color, but she didn't, I wouldn't stress over it, it could have been a lot worse.

The cut is fine. The color is completely inappropriate. I know, I know let it go but with all the colors in the rainbow, was it really necessary? I hope she's ready to be spoken about behind her back.

You have reason to be shocked and upset. I'm sure it comes in another color that is more complimentary to her.

Whoever asked where it came from I'll FM you but its Mon Cheri Montage.

Also just tried to have a convo with FH about it and he said 'i don't get what the big deal is'

They're right about the apple not falling far from the tree!!!!!!!!!!!
