Re: Would you ever name your children a Jr?
i wish we could because i think it's sweet - but i doubt we will.....FH is a third and he has a lot of money troubles because their financial records keep getting mixed up. (same thing happens to my brother and father and they have different middle names) very risky

Re: Would you ever name your children a Jr?
I would love to name my son after my husband because I really like the name Robert. But he would want his son to have his name. Only because every boy in his family is named either frank or Paul...LOL Seriously...his dad's name is Frank,His brother is Frankie and he's got a nephew named Frankie. Then His other brother is named paul (after the grandfather) and named his first born paulie. So my husband was the only one who had his own name and doesnt really want to follow in his family's footsteps. My family is even worse! We have so many people with the same name it's not even funny. I personally don't like the Jr. thing myself. I only would want to do it because I like the name Robert....LOL

No. My husband is not a jr but his dad and him have the same first name. They have different middle names. Its still very confusing because every time his mom talks about one of them, I never know who she is talking about. And sometimes they get our mail and sometimes we get theirs even though we live in totally different towns. Last week, I called for an oil delivery and made sure the girl got the right address. They delivered it to his dad's house anyway. It can get very annoying.

Yes! We are not exactly doing a junior... FH and the baby will have different middle names-- but our first boy will be Michael Denis... after both of our fathers.

Re: Would you ever name your children a Jr?
My FH has a very long greek first name with the middle name of george which is the same first and middle name as his grandfather. His grandfather has been dead for at least 20 years and at least 3 times in the past 4 years that I have been dating him my FH has been either sued or sent to collections for something associated with his grandfathers businesses. It is such a huge mess trying to explain to creditors that he is not the person that they are looking for. We actually have copies of the death cert. and Fh birth cert so that we can prove that it isnt him.
More of a hassle that anything else.
I also had a friend that was named after his father with different middle initals. They had a very hard time getting a mortage on their house b/c it kept comming up that they already owned 2 houses which was really ownded by his father. It is very hard when the addresses, phone #'s and names are exactly the same execpt ss#.

Re: Would you ever name your children a Jr?
I would .. I am a JR.. and I couldn't be named after a better dad. If you do it, I think it can be a tribute to the father.
