Would you sacrifice

Cutting people off your wedding list for your dream DRESS? I went to Demetrois bridal yesterday in Macy's and found my dream wedding gown, however its was about $3,000 . Im gonna be honest, this is wayyyyyyyyy over my budget. LOL the manager told me to cut ppl off the list, i was this close to getting it but i really had to sit back and think about my budget. I really love this dress but FH will kill me if I even think about getting it....I dont know what to do

ok my dress is demetrios too and the prices at macy's bridal was 2000...i found it somewhere else for cheaper call different locations and find out if they have the dress for cheaper good luck

I wouldn't , IMHO. I'd rather have people be with us on the day then wear something few just a few hours that will ultimately sit in my closet forever. I'd rather have people there.

Not only that, they will bring you gifts...your dress won't

I wouldn't.....I would take Gloria's advice and shop around. I found my dress in one store and ordered it in another and saved a lot of money.

NO!! Does the dress really mean that much more to you than spending your wedding day with EVERYONE that you want there?

There are always dresses that look very similar if not identical, by different designers that sell them at lower prices! I found a Pronovias dress that I loved (Gaudi) but was expensive and got virtually the same dress (but one that I loved EVEN MORE-- Edimburgo) by San Patrick for only $1025!!

I would definatey try looking around at other places to see if you can get it cheaper. IMO I wouldn't cut people out for the dress.

They're just trying to make a sale! Don't cut your guest list!!
Definitely try calling a couple other places to see how much they'd charge and then, if that doesn't work, post pics of the dress on here and maybe we can help you find something similar!!

I think you can make other cuts to your budget rather than cutting people. There are so many ways!

def shop around. u WILL find it cheaper.. macys is soo much more expensive than other bridal stores.

No way! I went to Macys Manhasset too and found my Demetrios dress cheaper in another store. And the girl in Macys also offered me 15% off. Definitely don't cut people for it!

but it depends on whats more important to you, i think most agree theyd rather have their freinds and family there than cut them off to wear a dress that went over budget.... you oculd always skimp out somewhere else like invites, not doing std;s etc

I can't believe the sales lady actually asked you to cut people off your list? ***...anything for a dollar

Keeping looking you'll find something you love at a price that will allow you to have all the guests you want.
