so last week i mentioned that i was in a wedding & 4 days prior to the wedding, the bride decided to flip sh!t because i have been too busy to help with stuff...
well, her wedding, was heII....first of all, i never have liked her MOH..but i was nice to her because they were friends...well, the day of the wedding she was THEE biggest B!tch to be ever. and did my 'friend,' the bride, speak to me at all?? nope. not at all. so i was fed up with it and FH & I peaced out at like 6:00...very earlyy....i was so mad i didnt even give her the card & money i had for her...i figured she didnt deserve it..
anyways, she hasnt spoke to me since...whatever
she was supposed to be in my wedding as well, yea, not happening now.
but what REALLY irritates me is that she is a poster on the 09 board..and i was reading through some of her posts... one talks about how she almost kicked a BM out of her wedding.. that could only be me.. why didnt she do it?! i would have LOVEDD that... i wasted $40 getting my hair done...wasted money on my dressed...wasted money paying for bridal shower...wasted gas driving back and fourth to her place the weekend of the wedding...i honestly thought out kicking myself out...i wish i would have.. blahhhh

Yeah and then I would have regretted it after all this. Hold onto the gift and if you end up feeling a little guilty, make a donation to a worthy cause/charlity in her name. Something about Lamas or Alpacas would be perfect!

No way, we don't WORK....you can come and have lemonade with me while we sit in rocking chairs and watch the hired help take care of the alpacas...then we can go down and pet the alpacas and then go inside for tea

That's your quote. You wrote that you skipped out at 6...very earlyy and you were so mad you didn't give her the card or money.

I LEFT THE RECEPTION EARLY!!!!!! i went the ceremony and attended the FULLL thing...i went to the rehersal the day before and attended the WHOLE thing! just the stupid reception, where i was having a lame time!
To me, leaving the reception super early is skipping out. Esp when you are a BM. That was my quote from like 2 posts above yours.
It's better that you left the reception early over the ceremony. But really... not by much at all. Sorry. Leaving any of those events like that is not cool. Nor is not giving a gift.
No one will ever know the full truth between you 2. But I'm sure in many ways you are BOTH WRONG ABOUT THINGS.

It really ***** that it has come down to this. But this is what happens when people vent on a public forum. And even if someone isn't a poster that doesn't mean they can't see it. If the bride had a problem with Nicole, she should have talked to her about it instead of posting about it and then exploding 4 days before the wedding. And after posting about someone on a site, you can't really be mad that someone goes and posts about you. I must say that keeping the gift was a little mean, but at this point, there's no point in sending it.
Personally, I think that when you choose a BM you have explain to them what you expect from them. Don't assume that they know what you want them to do. Maybe she didn't know you wanted her to cut and serve the cake, and if you had made that clear from the beginning, she may not have accepted. To me, most of the brides on this site really expect way more from their bridal party than I ever would. So, as a bride, you have to make it clear that you want them to be at your beck-and-call. To me, that is the only time you can get mad if they aren't there for everything.

I don't think they pull threads for bickering. there has to be something that was against the rules. Like a fake bride or someone saying negative and untrue things about a vendor, etc.
Haha.. they are probably reading all the too and laughing at it like we are.

I think the bottom line in all of this is that there are two sides to many things (I don't say everything, because I don't believe that).
There are some traditions we all know about; there are some traditions no one has ever heard of, but they may still exist. A situation may have occured between Nichole & Amber that they each took in a different manner. Some people are comfortable venting on LIW; some would rather keep it in person. Some people have a limit on how much they can do; some are powerhouses that keep going 24/7, etc. etc. etc.

I can't even imagine one of my friends doing that.... honestly, I don't blame you for not giving her a card... I wouldn't have either. That was just wrong. At least you know not to have her in your wedding...
