You really just have to stick with it...I say try real hard to focus on your allotted points during the week....and not use the extra 35 points and that way on the weekend if you struggle you can use the 35 points there...if you stick with the program it really works.

Re: WW
Hi ladies,
I did WW and lost almost 20 pounds. I followed core for the majority of my time then switched to points to focus on controlling my portions. However, i began to dislike it because I was constantly looking for '0 pt' foods and '1pt foods.' I ended up eating bags of popcorn for lunch because it was so low in points. Not healthy.
This year I decided to take a different approach and I am much happier. I had been playing around with eating 5/6 meals a day. Recently, I found a plan that is helping me. Each meal contains a protein (lean), sometimes a good fat, sometimes a carbohydrate and a veggie. On days that I lift weights, I eat more carbs throughout the day. On days that I don't, I eat more healthy fats. Always, the protein remains consistent. I have not weighed myself in the past 4 weeks, but my clothes are fitting much better, I have dropped 2 sizes and have definitely lost inches. I felt that I wasnt eating balanced foods with WW (my own fault, ww is great and you realy can eat balanced foods...i just didnt) and was just trying to eat less to stay within my points! Im only 5 ft tall so any amoutn of weight looks like a lot on me!
Sorry for the long post, but Im pretty passionate about nutrition/fitness. If you want more info, just FM me

Re: WW
Any 'diet' is hard to do on the weekends!! I have been a WW member about 5 times and it does work but I can never keep it off.
The best thing to do is journal. . . journal . . . journal. It helps to hold you accountable for what you are really eating. And don't lie to the jounral!! It's for you and no-one else.

Re: WW
Im on WW for the second time. The first time I failed because I just didnt give it my all and I didnt attend meetings. This time Im really focusing. Its like a full time job right now trying to learn everything exactly and the shopping! (food)
I lost only 1.6 lbs the first week, then 1 the second week and this last week I lost 3.6 pds!!!! Weighed in today in fact. I also find using the online tools is very very helpful. Just everytime you are going to log online go there FIRST.. then go to your other fun sites. Lastly..stay prepared! oh.. and if this helps...
The lady at our meeting today gained 4 lbs her last weigh in 2 weeks ago. She was going to quit altogether but thought she would give it one more shot. She weighed in today and was down 7.6 PDS!! She had a major whoosh.. could have been anything that caused the gain like salt or what have you. So.. stick with it for a while. Im only down 6 pds for doing this for 3 weeks, but thats not so bad!!

Re: WW
I've been on WW since january. I've lost a total of 22 lbs. I'm only 10 lbs away from my goal weight. Before joining WW I lost 13 lbs and became stuck so I decided to give it a try- its helped me with my weight loss so much! I'm so happy now.
I think it easy to stick to because I find foods I like and fit them into my diet. I'm also able to eat sweets (i buy the WW cakes and cookies).
I think it really helps if you write every thing down!! And measure too to make sure you don't go over. I also find I get alot of great tips at the meetings.
Good luck!!

Re: WW
I have lost 30 pounds this time around on WW. Any diet works if you stick to it. I've also been exercising my butt off. My jeans are all loose on me. I have started wearing the pants I put away years ago when I grew out of them. It's really exciting. You can do it. Don't give up.

Re: WW
Start you points with dinner instead of breakfast - this really helped me. I had the same problem as you - I would go out to dinner on the weekends and have like 5 points left. My leader told me to try it this way - if you over do it at dinner you can go light on breakfast and lunch - much easier!

I do the same thing! Saturdays are the best for me to weigh in, that way I have all week to 'be good' if I go overboard on the weekend.

Re: WW
I joined about 2 months ago, but i am the worst diet follower ever. today I already had pancakes for breakfast, WW no-no.
I havne't really seen any results but, like I said, I don't follow it. I'm hoping the weight magically falls off LOL!

Re: WW
When I was on WW years I ago, I was Queen Anal in following everything to a 't'. I planned all my meals/snacks in advance, measured everything out and counted every point I had to.
I gained 18 pounds in 6 weeks.
Then I tried the South Beach Diet because my friend had lost over 90 pounds on it. Again, I was Queen Anal, following everything to a 't'.
I lost 2 pounds in 4 months.
Three years ago, I switched to a vegetarian diet. I lost weight and had more energy that I've had in years.
I still follow a predominantly vegetarian diet, although I do have chicken every once in a while. I also cook a majority of my meals instead of eating out. I also focus on eating whole foods, not bars and supplements.
