Re: WW Support Thread
Does anyone know how bad Ralph's ices are for you? They are truly my favorite food. I took FH's kids tonight...but avoided getting one for myself...didnt want to ruin a weekend of not cheating on my diet! But for future, just wondering how bad they are?

I'm not sure about all of them, but you can get the sugar free ones (there's like 5 different flavors) in the small size and it's only around 2 points. That's what I try to stick with when I go there.

You sure it's a real 5 pound gain??? I bet when you weigh in this weekend it won't be quite as much. Vacation weight gain is usually what we call 'visiting weight.' It tends to go away pretty easily.

I feel as though this thread needs to be bumped!
I have my weigh in Sat. After last weeks' vacay, I'm a little nervous. I've only made it to the gym once this week!

Just saw this now. And since you're an official WW person I'll take your word that it will go away easily- because that would be very nice and relieving!!

Have you at least gotten your eating back under control? If so, you should be pleasantly surprised on Saturday. Let me know what happens.

Re: WW Support Thread
Sorry, I haven't been on this thread in a while and have so many pages to read... not sure if something like this has been covered but...
I've officially hit a plateau... for the past month or two I'm suck gaining 2lbs then loosing 1lbs then gaining 2lbs and loosing 2lb etc etc etc...
This plateau occurred when my points lessened due to the initial weight loss.. I'm starting to feel like the amt of points I have are impossible to eat ( i usually crave more). I have 4 less points than when I initally started and receintly just lost only one point when the plateau started...which doesn't seem to be a lot.
Also, as for exercise I walk 3 miles total/day (to & from work M-F) and try to get in at least 30mins of some activity on weekends.
Any suggestions??

I've never hit a plateau before, but I'll try to help anyway.
I totally understand what you mean by the number of points not seeming like enough. As you get less points, it can seem so hard.
My suggestion would be to really try something different- switch all your meals up- change your foods. Look online at WW's website for new recipes and ideas. Buy a WW recipe book or look at hungry girl. SOmetimes a change in what you're eating can really help.

Re: WW Support Thread
Hi everyone, I'd love to be a part of this thread. I started WW last July and am down about 40lbs. so far. I still have a bit to go before reaching goal. I started well before getting engaged (i just got engaged in Feb.) so I should reach goal by Feb. or so of next year and still have months before my wedding. I have to go back and read all the pages, but I think this thread could be really supportive if its ok that I jump aboard. :)
I go to meetings in New Hyde Park usually cause I live right over the Queens border in Bellerose. My leader is Helene -she does meetings all over LI i think.

Re: WW Support Thread
It was a bad WW week for me...It was a major carbo load week bc of it being national lab wek (they should really change it to national bagel week but thats another story lol). I also had some bad stuff going on that just got to me, and i never made it to the gym more than once...
Next week i am hoping to get right back on track and head to the gym more than this week...Epics are less than a month away, gotta use that as motivation!!

You can do it Gaby!!! I only went to the gym ONCE this week...and I still managed to stay the same. (Even after all of my crazy vacation eating/weight gaining). One of these days we'll go to the gym together!

Welcome! Congrats on your 40 pounds. Helene is a GREAT leader, and I'm very friendly with her . Tell her Laura says hi, I worked with her when I was a receptionist, and now I do her old meeting in Plainview on Saturdays.

You can do it. Start today. Track, count points, good health guidelines. You'll be back on track in no time
