I hear that. I love chocolate...you know what's really great for chocolate cravings in the winter? Diet hot cocoa. Especially since you're not a chocolate fiend. It's something you can keep on the shelf and won't go bad, and easy to make so no excuses about going for something that's not so great for you.

I keep a bunch of packets in my desk at work too. They have them in 60-calorie packets and 25-calorie. IMO the 60-calorie ones from Swiss Miss are really good!

Are the 60 calorie ones still 1 point? The 25 calorie ones are kind of bland and grey, it makes me a wee bit depressed when I drink it.

I had two REALLY bad weeks. I gained almost 4 pounds. I'm feeling a little dejected about it, but I know it's just because of the holiday and a trip I went on. I'm going to do a lot better this week--I'm planning to really plan out my meals, do grocery shopping and try to hit the gym at least 3-4 times (I've been SO bad with the gym).

Here's a question for you ladies:

A lot of times, I don't get out of work until 7, and I have to be in work at 7, so I don't really have time to work out before work. Between getting stuff done for school and making dinner etc, I don't have a ton of workout time.

How do you make SURE you get to the gym?

I pack my gym bag the night before and bring it to work with me.

I also put it on my facebook status that im going to the gym...so its like official or something. yea, im weird but it works lol

Congrats Dianna! You look awesome!!!!

I come home for lunch everyday and then pack a gym bag and throw it in the car. I go to the gym straight from work because I know that if I go home first, I won't leave again.........especially with winter creeping up. Also, similar to what Colleen said, but I make sure to post on the How Will You Move Today thread......I feel by doing that I am then obligated to do it

I definitely feel like that! I also feel like if I have one setback, it's a done deal and I might as well eat whatever I want. Like last weekend, I was away Friday, Saturday and Sunday and just ate and drank like crazy. Then I let it continue through the rest of the week because I figured I didn't count points over the weekend, so I might as well not count them over the week. The same thing happened after Thanksgiving. I need to remind myself that one day is one day and one meal is one meal!

I think you need to maybe look at all that you've accomplished? How hard could 5 pounds be after all that you've lost?!

Let me ask you girls a question.............

If you went to the supermarket bought a carton of eggs, and came home and dropped one egg, what would you do? Would you break the other 11 eggs?

What if you were driving on the highway and got a flat tire? Would you get out of the car and slash the other 3????

The point is......one little setback doesn't need to be a setup for disaster. You fix it and move forward.

So Colleen, if you gain 5 pounds over a holiday, so be it. You get back on track and lose it again. Are you willing to gain the other 55 pounds back?????

Erin - you need to just set your mind to it and start writing things down again. And get to a meeting. I find that's always the easiest way to get myself back on.

I need advice....

sometimes for lunch I get a small Wendy's chili. I dont eat all of it. I do eat all the beans out because thats most filling. I would say I eat probably between a quarter to half. How should I calculate the points for this?

Jess, a small Wendy's chili is 4 points. So figure out how much you eat and go from there. If you eat half of it, count 2 points.

Even when I dont eat all of something I count all of the points anyway...i'd rather over count than under count.

A small chili is 4 points right? If anything, I'd count it as 3.

No, the 60 calorie ones are two points. It's well worth the extra point...it's still less than most chocolate treats out there and lasts longer.

Got this in an email from WW.com

16 Ways to have a healthy holiday

Challenge yourself to use these easy tricks:
1 Always eat a healthy dinner before you go to a holiday party.

2 Bring healthy foods to potlucks.

3 At appetizer tables, choose two or three of your favorites and put them on a small plate or, better yet, a napkin. Then, walk away. When you're done with your food, throw away the napkin or take your plate to the kitchen. Avoid large plates.

4 At a buffet, cover most of your plate with vegetables and fruits. Then find room for smaller portions of the high-calorie main dishes.

5 Watch out for times when you feel guilty for overeating. Just because you slipped up at lunch isn't license to overindulge all day. Remember: One meal is one meal. One day is one day.

6 On the nights you decide to have a drink, limit yourself to one or two. And don't indulge every night, says Fink. Also, choose wisely—a gin and tonic has 155 calories for 7.5 fl oz, while the same size frozen strawberry daiquiri has a whopping 450 calories.

7 If you are drinking, alternate alcoholic beverages with nonalcoholic, calorie-free drinks such as like flavored seltzer. Or, choose wine spritzers, which are half wine and half seltzer.

8 Drink extra water to help flush out the excess sodium you consume during rich meals.

9 No matter how busy you get, make time for a healthy breakfast. Eating a morning meal will help control cravings later on.

10 If baked goods are your holiday weakness, consider hosting a cookie party: Ask every guest to bring one batch of his or her favorite cookies, plus the recipe, and share. This way, you and your family get a variety without having to bake loads. (For extra credit, challenge your guests to bring low-fat or low-calorie cookies.)

11 Store healthy snacks at the front of your fridge and pantry, and go for them before you treat yourself to the splurge stuff.

12 Just say 'no' to packaged holiday candies and cakes! So what if they're red and green or blue and white—with all the homemade goodies hanging around, you don't need them.

13 Streamline your grocery shopping with lists of the ingredients you'll need for a week's worth of quick, easy meals. This way, you won't be limited to last-minute convenience and fast foods during those nights when you're dashing around.

14 Online shopping is a great time saver, but it means you lose out on the mall walking that usually goes with shopping. Make it up by figuring out exactly how much time you saved (say, 15 minutes per gift), then increase your cardio by that much for the week.

15 On heavy-eating weeks, add some strength training to your routine. Building muscle will help your body continue to burn calories while at rest.

16 Add health-related gifts to your wish list this year—they could help make for a slimmer, healthier new year.
