Re: WW Support Thread

I got that too! I'm totally trying to do that stuff this holiday season!

Went to the gym last night--woohoo! What do you guys do for strength. I putzed around on some arm and leg machines, but I definitely think I need a better plan!

I do an interval training class. It's a combo of weight lifting and cardio.

So Oct and Nov were both bad months for me, yeah not good that two months were bad, but its a good thing that I only get weighed in once a month. But today I went for my monthly weigh in and I'm back on track and I'm down 4.4 so excited!!!!!!

I need to really hop back on track!! I haven't weighed in at Weight Watchers for like 2 months. I've been weighing now and then at home and I guess I've stayed around the same range.

I'm bumping this up...it's a new year, ladies, and this thread hasn't been active for almost a month

How's everyone doing post-holidays?

I switched from Core to Flex (Points) during Christmas and New Year's weeks and it wasn't pretty. I can't function right on Flex...I just feel so limited, like everytime I go to eat something I worry about how many points it 'costs' and what the rest of my day will look like, food-wise. There were a couple of days where I just told WW to go eff itself, which never happens to me while on Core.

Started with a clean slate this week, stocking up on all sorts of Core foods. Cooked up a bunch of stuff last night, which always makes it easier to grab-and-go when it comes to lunches for work.

Also really focusing on getting in as much water as I can each day...the winter air makes my skin so incredibly dry, and I figure that drinking a lot of water may help that. (Obviously using a ton of moisturizer and lip balm too).

Trying my darndest to get back into the swing of things with the workouts. Baby steps.

So how is everyone else doing with their WW??

I was thinking about this this morning Kris! Great minds think alike

Back on track........especially back to tracking! And I already feel the difference

Kris, just wondering, you know there's no 'core and flex' anymore right......just Momentum?

well i didnt do well over the holidays...i really wasnt following weight watchers and gained like 7 lbs back between all the eating/drinking and not working out.

since the new years I have been back on track with weight watchers and working out. I have already lost like 2 of the lbs. hopefully I can take of the rest and then some in the next few months.

I know. I tried to follow Momentum and it completely jacked me up. I wasn't feeling it...made me feel really restricted again, even though I was focusing on the Simply Filling foods (which are mostly Core foods, though some that were Core are not SF *coughcoughfatfreesugarfreehotchocolatecoughcough*).

I have had success in losing and maintaining on Core, which is why I stick with it...it just seems like it wasn't too popular - there was only one person in my meeting who also followed it, and my meeting was a pretty big one On the other hand, it keeps me sane...no counting points, though I do journal my food daily. And I feel great when I follow it

Soo I am actually happy with myself. I gorged and drank and was very MERRY through the holiday's and I went to weigh in this morning. I have been really good the past 3 days. (trying to eat 5 small meals a day, drinking my water getting the veggies in) and I only gained 1.2

I am not feeling bad about it at all!! I was for a while and thought I gained atleast 7 pounds... it's amazing what only 3 days can do to make you feel so much better about yourself.

YAY ME!

I started back up on monday & found a free app on the droid that keeps track of my points. It's a really fun app b/c you scan the barcode of the food your eating - and since i'm having fun with it, i've been really good since i started up again!!!!

Unfortunatlely my gym closed on New Years day though, so i'm not good on the exercise front - but i'm making progress!

I started back up the week after Xmas, with a small detour over New Year's, but now I'm back on it! I feel great, def drinking a TON of water!

FH is being very supportive, so we're making WW-approved dinners (and I don't have to watch him eat a hamburger!).

I am really excited - I hope to lose at least 10 lbs and then after busy season I will kick it up with the exercising!!!

30 lbs here I come!

Re: WW Support Thread

I kind of fell off the wagon over the holidays, but I'm back with a vengeance now!

One of my resolutions is to get some kind of exercise every day, whether it's at the gym or the Wii Fit or my Yoga class. This week, I've been alternating every day.

One of FH's resolutions was to run 2 miles every day and blog about it, so that's really motivating. It's definitely helping me stay active.

I did a good WW thing this week--I planned all of my meals through Friday (holiday part--ugh!), then went to the store and got all of the stuff I will need for now until Friday, plus some extra fruits and veggies.

It's so great to have that 'what am I going to eat' weight lifted (no pun intended!), and to really have a great plan for the week! I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep this up, but it's definitely doing the trick for now!

My biggest recommendation...........GO TO A MEETING!

If anyone's in the Nassau area, I lead two center meetings a week. Lynbrook on Thursday nights (tonight!) at 7:30, and Plainview on Saturday afternoons at 3:30.

You're always more than welcome to come by!

I LIVE in plainview - I am totally coming to your meeting on Saturday!!!!! YAY so excited!
