Re: QOTD: Do you believe in fate?
Don't know the bonus question but there are definitely circumstances within my own relationship that make me go 'hmmnnn...' (although in that case - I think Fate was playing a cruel joke!
)...tomorrow is our 11 year anniversary (being together).

I don't really believe in fate, but sometimes I wish I did. It seems like such a romantic notion.Does Jennifer Love Hewitt star in the answer to your bonus question?

I do think that some things are meant to be, if that's what you mean...Not so much love at first sight...As my grandmother says:
There's a lid for every pot

I agree. I've gotten into huge arguments with my father (a retired english professor) about this because I don't like the basis of the relationshp in Romeo&Juliet for this very reason. It's just so implausible. Even for great literature I can't really willing suspend my disbelief about this!
I don't know, my parents were engaged 6 weeks after they met...

Yes, I do believe in fate. Not sure if there is a point to it, but I know that it is there.

my parents were enagaged 3 months after they met...but I still just can't really believe it. Fate is one thing, but love at first sight? I don't know.
Maybe I'm just jaded....or too practical?
I think people think they are in love after 3 or 6 months. And they get married and it works...and yeah they fall in love and have wonderful marriages...
It happens...rare but happens
