I cook, he eats.
I clean, he makes a mess.

Forget practical it is reality.

I can blame things on 'my husband'.

It sounds more official then 'my boyfriend'. People react different I notice, they seem to understand and relate better. They take me more seriously. It's so weird.

Although, I guess I could have just stayed single and said 'my husband wants...' anyway. No one would be the wiser, would they? I'd have to get a fake wedding band too though...

I freaking do this all the time and love. Not sure if I can make it to your sisters mothers boyfriends bday party. 'I will have to ask my husband if he already has plans for us that night'

I love it!!!!!

Happiness is not practical.

Totally.

I'd say that he pays for almost everything & does almost all the chores and plays with the cats. My cats need a lot of attention. I basically have to do nothing now but cook.

...and I agree with Laurie, I can blame stuff on him and they don't get mad, like 'Oh, damn, we can't go to your GTG because Dean has to work...'

That's the practical stuff. I won't say anything sentimental.

for us:
*we don't have to drive 50+ miles to see each other on the weekends
*car insurance: both of us are covered for the same amount of money it used to cost to cover just him alone.
*there is someone else who can kill yucky spiders
*he cleans more than i do
*i have someone who can put my bodylotion on that spot on your back that you just can't reach yourself

Going to sleep next to him every single night.
Having him to share every up and down with.

Are you getting your excuse ready for the photo album GTG?

PS. Saw this belt in Banana Republic and I was like 'Oh, a kittythestray belt.'

No, I luck out - I get TWO excuses!! I am a tax accountant so I can't do anything until after tax season. I work about 80 hours a week. I get bonuses for how much I work so I LOVE working that much!

he does most of the cooking---i HATE cooking! plus, he makes much more $ than me right now bc i only work part-time while i go to grad school...so his pay check pays the big bills. gotta love that.

Honestly - not worrying about getting pregnant before we get married... even though this baby was a surprise - my mantra was - wow - at least it was AFTER the wedding!!!

Not sure why it mattered so much to me - more that I wouldnt have to worry about a baby bump on my wedding day....

Going to sleep and waking up with him.. we were together almost 8 years when we were married and I HATED when he used to leave to 'go home' at night.

I am with Leslie & Kathleen

I cook & he does the dishes....Nothing but teamwork

Also, knowing that I can always count on someone to help me especially if people are coming over & something needs to be cleaned or vacuumed. DH is always there to lend a hand if I ask for it.

Paychecks definately are better now that I get more each week. Plus come tax time, DH can write off more things based on my salary. That means a bigger refund in the end!

Health insurance. I have my own through my job but DH has the ultimate benefits. As of Jan 1st, I am now on his too. Makes for less medicial bills

Being able to share my daily life with DH. When we were dating & even engaged, we barely saw each other because of work schedules. Knowing that I can come home everyday & talk about what happened, it is the best feeling. Plus laying next to him in bed at night, it makes for a complete day!
