Re: What's the best thing about being married? (practical, not mushy)

Someone else to help walk the dog.
He cooks, I clean up.
No more long commutes into the city for him to see me.
Having each other to talk to/listen about our day-every day. Being married to DH is great

We justmoved into a new apartment and its GREAT to have someone else to hang all the stuff - I dont have dangerous shevles that are in danger of falling off the wall now :)

All I did was direct where I wanted it to hang!

You owned a house with him for a year and a half but lived at your parents house!?

But seriously, this is a thread about the practical benefits of having a husband. Happiness is not practical.

Yes we had our house that he lived in and I stayed at my parents for a few reasons. 1-I wanted to be traditional and respect my parents and wait until I was married to live with my husband (after all I also wait to be with him until after the wedding), and 2-I work only 3 blocks from my parents house, so for my job it was a lot easier to stay at my parents.

And since I did not give a good enough answer (JUST KIDDING!!!) I was also add, I love being married because he takes care of all the bills (which I hate to do), he cooks and I clean, he vacuums and I dust. Whoever is up out of bed last makes the bed (we have a bunch of pillows on the bed and I love how he tries to make the bed with them, it really is SO cute!).

he is warm ( lot of body heat) so he keeps me warm, he eats all my leftovers on my plate so I never have to throw away food. I love coming home to him every day to have someone to chat with. He always takes out the garbage (every night) and he scoops my cat's poopies. how's that for practical!!

Now I dont have to watch every pretty penny in my bank account because we have joint accounts. He takes from me, and I take from him.

He washes my car on the weekends.
