ok I understand everyone's opinions.. I NEVER said I don't trust the FH! so everyone who keeps replying with 'I trust my FH', that's not it.

I just feel if you don't do that now, why that one night?!

If he goes, he goes.. I'm not going to not marry him or get into a big fight over it.

I just think it's disrespectful. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Not to kick up but I highly doubt your man has never been to a strip club. As previous posters said, it's a rite of passage and as long as you trust him, it's harmless.

In the 5 years we have been together, no he hasn't.. and before me, I don't care if he did or not but he was 18 when we first started dating so he couldnt even get into one.

You've been with him every evening for 5 years?

Yes Mam! And the nights I go out with the ladies dancing, he is at my house in my bed waiting for me! I have a good man :0)

and it was a simple question that I was wondering everyone's opinion.. why you are attacking me, I have no idea.

so if i go out & my FH goes out with the guys, hes not good??

THATS NOT WHAT I MEANT AT ALL! I was warned about what to post & how girl gang up on one person. But I didn't think it was like that. But now I am starting to see the warning.
I asked a simple question. All everyone had to say was yes they care or no they don't and their opinion as to why. Not jump down my throat for my opinion. Of course we both do our own things, there are times I am home & he goes out to dinner with the guys from work. He is the most honest man I have met, and I believe him when he says he has never been to a strip club. As far as the bachalor party goes, that's his choice & the groomsmen! I just wanted everyone's opinions, not to start a whole big argument or fight on here! this is crazy. I came on here for help with my wedding planning and questions about different things. Never intended to get my throat jumped down. And if you say I sound like a 16 year old, fine. I don't mind it. I am only 22 and I'm proud to be a young bride. And as for saying I have a good man, I do, Not saying yours isnt because he goes out and does his own thing, I think thats fabulous. And truth be told sometimes I do go crazy when he is with me all the time, but his work schedule is 6 days a week from 8am until 9pm. So he isnt home that much anyway. So if I am out with the girls, yes he is home in bed waiting for me. If he chose to go out after work, thats fine, I don't mind it. Sheesh!

Thank you Christine- I thought it was just me. I know this is going to sound wrong, but a companion who stays at home all day and waits for you to come home sounds more like a pet than a significant other. I'm so glad that FH and I have our own interests/friends/lives.

Let the begin!

i am not usually one to start with the but that comment bugged me.

i have been with my FH for 9.5 years. if we didn't do our own separate thing on occasion i would loose my mind. to say that he sits & waits for you at home in your bed is something i heard from a 16 year old, not someone planning a wedding.

Seriously!! I don't usually start either. This is the first time I have EVER (in like 6 mos.) posted a comment that someone might take offense to but that was ridic.

You posted asking for opinions and when you got ones you didn't like you started asserting your opinion more forcefully and acting like those who agreed with you were sane and those who did not are kinda loopy. I'm not saying that you said those words exactly, but that is how you came off.

Asking for opinions is fine, but you have to understand that not everyone is going to have an opinion that you agree with and you can't passive aggressively decide that your opinion is better.

Personally it's a little eh to me but I don't really care that that much.

My FH has never been to a strip club and he's 29. I've been to several and had to leave one (a guy one) b/c it made me too uncomfortable.

I agree that going to a strip club and having them at your room are 2 separate things. The 2nd one i will not in any way shape or form allow. The first one.. whatever, i'll take it as a grain of salt.

I agree.. there is no reason for you to be worrying about this when your wedding is 3 years away. My wedding is 11 months away and I'm not even thinking about it.
It's just going to cause unnecessary stress and arguments at this point.

Oh I definetly agree! I didn't say mine was better at all. I just feel the way I feel. Not saying one FH is better than the other for what they do. It was a harmless post that just got out of hand. And people were either reading into it too much or took offense too easily to something that wasn't even meant the way it came off. But thank you.

I don't 'allow' FH to do anything. He's an adult, he does what he wants. I trust him implicitly.

Also, I've been to a strip club with him and his brother. In fact it was the night before his brother proposed to his g/f. I'm a bad FSIL.

it's ok... I just wanna go next time!

Ok, no offense to anyone but I wouldn't use the word tradition and stipper in the same sentence. I never knew it was tradition for guys to HAVE to have a stripper for their bachelor party. I know a few guys who didn't even have a bachelor party and unless he don't have a mind of his own I don't see how a guy is going to be pressuered into it by his friends. I know I wouldn't be talked into doing something I truly didn't want to do. Of course most guys in this day and age have been to a strip club before.

You deleted your post so I don't know what it said but I got the general idea based on the responses. Everyone has their own opinion about this subject. For me I don't care if FH goes. I know he has gone in the past for friends bach parties and he went to one at his bach party. I trust him and it does not bother me. I know it bothers other people and one time I told someone it did not bother me and she lectured me about it.

Maybe not tradition but strippers and bachelor parties are linked intrinsically. If you think bachelor party, you think strippers. It just is that way.

Did you or are you allowing him to have a stripper?

I am totally against it!!
FH's best man told me I have nothing to worry about because he refuses to have one,
but the whole thought of it still makes me mad!

I just want to see everyone else's opinions!
Am I nuts for not letting him have one?

AND -
YOUR WEDDING IS IN 3 YEARS!!! WHY WORRY ABOUT THIS NOW!!!

Believe me it will cause just cause BIGGER arguements!!!!

Dh did not have a stripper.. they never made it to the strip club that they were going to!

However it was not a concern to me. A stripper is one thing, a woman giving massages or some kind of physical touching,... etc... is another thing and DH agreed with me on that.

Don't worry yourself with it. Especially if they are saying it isn't happening. Trust them and remember if they do have some naked Boobs in their face then they can see it at a beach, or on True Blood (Hbo show) just the same.

He is marrying you and that should be a very satisfying feeling.

Best wishes!

well said kim!!!

btw, love your new avatar pic!

Thanks! It is from my 'Day After' Shoot!

Re: .

DH went to a strip club, i didnt have a problem with it.

I went to two male strip shows for my b-party

ive been to alot of female stripclubs, parties and all that, i know what goes on at them, the parties are a lot more crazier then the clubs, so i was glad he went to the club. but i do trust that he wont do anything with a stripper, at the parties ive been to the stripper just did really crazy things to the guys lol
