YEAH i think its appropriate too, i mean there are quite alot who are extremely religious and would want to wear one

I know,. even tho, our wedding is before sundown on the sabbath I think it would look nice,there are customs from the ceremony that I really like, I like the idea of both my parents walking me down, what the chuppa symbolizes, and the circeling 3x.

Just wanted to let you know the circling around the groom is seven times not three. We are not doing it b/c i dont like what it symbolizes, but its very pretty, we've seen it done at many weddings.

The groom doesnt circle the bride only the bride circles the groom according to tradition. Basically what it symbolizes is that the bride is building up a wall around him to protect him from any desires and is making him the center of her universe. He's the planet and you orbit around him. Very 1950's nuclear family idea which i dont like. It doesnt symbolize anything bad at all but i told FH that if he wants me to do that then he should circle around me 7 times b/c i need to be the center of his unviverse too lol...but grooms dont do that at Jewish ceremonies and then it would just look weird. So we cut that part out.

I go into a lot of Yeshiva's for my school district. All of my students are constanlty going to Israel. I always ask them about the fighting going on and they seem fine with it. Most of my students go there as soon as they grad. HS for a year. You can buy the Kippas on central Ave. in Cedarhurst. If you live near the 5 towns.
