yay! Anyone else's job give them this?

we dont have a half day but we have friday off

and when i came to work at FH's company a few years ago i started the tradition of having a thanksgiving meal on that wednesday before thanksgiving!

Usually i go to boston market and get a ton of food and we all sit together and have a fun afternoon!

Although i have half a day on wednesday, i do work the friday after thanksgiving ...i did just have off yesterday so i guess its ok

i wish i had the day off after thanksgiving and the week between xmas and new years!!

do you get paid fro that week and not have it count towards your vacation days??

actually yes i do have admin experience. it is pretty much all i did when working in teh city office now i work in melville and do more of another job but def have admin experience!!!!

Yeah its a half day for me as well. I have the option of coming in or not. Past years I would come in, DO NOTHING then meet FH for lunch and shopping. I think Im going to do that this year too. I get paid for doing nothing so what the heyyyy

Yes, my company does that too. We get to leave early for all holidays like Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. We also have the day after thanksgiving off. I also get the week between Christmas and New Years!

we're getting off friday after thanksgiving and if all work is done on Wednesday..we'll get out early too. My co-worker and I are already working to make sure everything is done NICE AND EARLY

Don't hate me... but I'm a teacher and we get Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off. A two day week next week! YAY!

The reason I pulled out of my as$ for that one is that it's a leap year, so we have an extra day, and they had to take a day out of the calendar and chose that one. But again, I just made that up and started telling people, and now everyone seems to believe it so it could be true, I guess...

we usually leave at 4pm but it doesnt get announced until an hour before (therefore you can not pre-plan for that day- you have to assume you are leaving at 5pm)

I wish we got to leave early....but no, I'm working a full day Wed, and a full day Friday.....the woes of working in a hospital
