ok please give honest opinions, i would like to get an idea of how my guests would feel about it so thats why i want someone to be honest if they dont like it or think its stupid or any problems they see with it.
Ok for place cards i have 2 ideas. One of them is to do this whole tree place card thing. I have a picture of it but its done as a wishing well tree instead, i have a pic somewhere and it was done the same way but with placecards. I love the way it looks but then i think of problems such as ppl having to look all around it for their name, people pulling one side then the other, shorter ppl not reaching lol. The pic i saw where it was done for place cards it was on a long string and you just pull it off the branch easily.
Here is apic where it was done as a wishing well tree to give you an idea but the name tags with table numbers would look the same way hanging off, and would have to get more branches
i wish i had a pic of it used as placecards but cant find it right now

cute idea, but i think its gonna cause too much confusion... i could just see people tryin to get them off and the whole tree go crashin to the ground....

I think it will look very pretty and it is differnt. I do honestly think it will be annoying to look for your card...but its such a nice touch it wont matter!!

hmm love the way it looks and the whole concept of the names hanging from the branches- only thing i would be unsure of is all the names scattered around and it would be hard for them to pick out especially since you have a large party..
unless you can branch them out alpabetically and people should use common sense to use that method.....

thats what im afraid of hahahaha, people pulling from other sides, thats why i would do long ribbon but still scares me a little. Plus we are having close to 300 guests so might be too many tags lol

yes, it can be annoying as it is to look for tags that are right side up... i can just see everyone head on an angle and everyone bumpin into one another looking sideways...

yeah if it was a smaller wedding would probably work better. I am worried with amount of guests we have that it will take people longer than looking for their name on a placecard thats on the table

i wanted to do this with a christmas tree - but not so sure how it would work out - with a branchy tree like you posted it would probably be easier....i was going to do a frame ornament and put the names inside the frame - this would be on a prelit tree on a table- but im not sure for the same reasons - how hard is it to find their name? to short to reach? too confusing?

i think its a great idea but i do agree with the others that bcuz of the large number of guests u will have it might get a little hectic.

i know thats what confuses me too hahaha. I LOVE the idea but then i think of the idiot parade that might come along with it
I love your idea of the frame ornament that would look GREAT, you should do it well if its not too confusing hahaha

i think it's a very cool and different idea but my only hesitation is because you're having a big wedding... so logistically it might be hard to pull off easily..
