YAY or NAY on place card idea

ok please give honest opinions, i would like to get an idea of how my guests would feel about it so thats why i want someone to be honest if they dont like it or think its stupid or any problems they see with it.

Ok for place cards i have 2 ideas. One of them is to do this whole tree place card thing. I have a picture of it but its done as a wishing well tree instead, i have a pic somewhere and it was done the same way but with placecards. I love the way it looks but then i think of problems such as ppl having to look all around it for their name, people pulling one side then the other, shorter ppl not reaching lol. The pic i saw where it was done for place cards it was on a long string and you just pull it off the branch easily.

Here is apic where it was done as a wishing well tree to give you an idea but the name tags with table numbers would look the same way hanging off, and would have to get more branches

i wish i had a pic of it used as placecards but cant find it right now

I def. LOVE the place card tree idea! and that is a beautiful one too but my concern was yours as well...i was worried about it backing up and people looking for theirs. I saw one on stylemepretty.com that had 2 trees and in front of each tree was a-m and than n-z which may make it easier for them to locate if you really want to do it!

Yeah i have the picture on my home computer if you can't find it fm me and i will send it to you. It was done really nicely she purchased the branches and it was quite a bit of work but they turned out beautiful and she had the dangling crystals from it as well...the only thing as well for you is that you do have a lot of guests it might be difficult maybe you can cut it to three trees?? not sure how you feel about that...

im going to look on it now, thank you so much. Probably wont end up doing this hahahha but ill look just for fun

i like it alot.......but id be worried it will take people too long to find their names.......i think it looks great and i love the idea tho

ok this might be complicated but....

what if you had a big tree and instead of hanging each placecard on its own string, you can hang a longer string with the placecards somehow attached (knots and paper clips, clips, ribbon, whatever) and you can do them alphabetically. then people would just slide off their individual card from the strand?

if you wanted ,you could even get a little crystal initial like 1.5' tall to put at the top of the strand to signal the letters

I like it because it's different but will it be hard for each person to find their name because it's not in ABC order?

that is the one i saw, why i didnt save the pic i dont know...well i realize now that it was on stylemepretty and i did save the site. SERIOUSLY girls check out the site SOOOOOOOOo many amazing ideas.

I like this idea but do agree it could get confusing with 300 guests! I see a lot of people get confused with those frames so it could be a similar problem.

I am trying to think of something fun, cute inexpensive and easy...but its so hard! I looked thru so many pictures on the knot last night but nothing struck me!

no only because to organize the names maybe a bit hard so people have to search it out unless you do individual trees like above. Its really a cute idea for a small wedding and/or shower.

You can always do the sign in book like i did with the tree which was really cool.

I am doing this for my 'well wishes'/guest book. The thing is to do that for place cards it might get complex and hard for older ppl to find it
