I've been slacking on my bm dresses...I went back & forth withthe colors, debating between either platinum, navy or wine. I think I am going with navy. These are 4 styles I have it down to (so far). Dress #3 would of course be in Navy, and Dress#4 is on the model sitting on the floor (dumb pose!) I am also gonna try and post pics of the backs of the dresses if I can get it to work. PLEASE vote for your favorite and share your opinions with me. Is navy a bad color for pictures? Do you have any dress pics I might like...please share! Thanks!

Thanks for voting! I know one of my BM's will love Dress#4 too, but the rest of my BP thinks it's too plain!

I voted for number 3. I like it because it seems to be the most flattering for the most body types. I like the drape of the skirt and where the waistline falls. Number 4 is pretty too... actually would be my 2nd choice... but it just looks like a nightie to me for some reason... maybe it's the stupid pose like you said!
Navy is a nice color.... I was in a BP where our gowns were navy and the pics came out really nice. The only thing I would say is think about your flowers before you pick navy... it may be hard to find nice color combos later on...

I have been thinking about flowers...actually I am meeting with two different florists next friday...
My suggestion to the florisits is going to be to either do a winter inspired boo-k (since my wedding is the start of the holiday season...I'd use dark red roses, accented w/ cream and berries, and possibly some type of evergreen or juniper.
OR a harvest type boo-k...because it's the saturday after thanksgiving. If I go with this theme I can maybe do wine or coral colors....with berries....I guess.
then of course, I 'll sit back and listen to their ideas....
Either way I was thinking the dark navy would really make the flowers 'pop'. (I watch trading spaces too much! Can u tell?! )

I really like #4 the best, and no navy is not bad for BM's dresses, it's actually very classic looking in my opinion.
I got some really smart advice recently, you should pick a color or color's that compliment you, since in most of the pictures, the girls will be surrounding you. So figure out if navy flatters you, it usually looks best with fair/blonds and fair/burnettes (JMO)

The majority of my BP likes #1.....all except for 1 BM. She likes #4....but the rest of my BP thinks #4 looks to plain and nightgownish.....which is why I am having this poll! LOL

I'm thinking lots of light purples with a little white and a little blue to bring in my dress and their dress. I'm leaning more toward a bari jay dress that has an accent color so the dress will be navy, the accent color lilac. That's where I'm getting the colors for the bouquet from. Of course, my wedding's still a year away so I'm only *thinking* right now
By the way, I'm a very fair blonde - which is part of the reason I picked navy. As bad as it is, I figure white isn't my best color and I look best in blues so if they're surrounding me, I'll look good all day
