Hey girls!! As you may or may not remember a week ago, I posted a message about FH's aunt asking us to RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING b/c her son is GRADUATING highschool on the same day!!! Well, if that isn't bad enough.... here's the update......
FH's aunt emailed FMIL and 'went off' on her saying that she's mad at FMIL and FH because they won't RESCHEDULE our wedding!!! Is she serious???? I'm at a lose for words!!! I am waiting for FMIL to forward the email to me, and I will update you all as to what exactly was said.... Unreal!

Michael because he is a teacher... and he has to coach in August and East Wind is not available any other time that is 'convenient' for them..... Frankies graduation is Sat. 9 a.m. I should then go run from the graduation around noon home to shower and get ready to run to the church in Smithtown around 2 p.m. go to the reception in the evening??? .... Frankie already told me he doesn't want to have his graduation party the weekend before....I'm disgusted REALLY!!! I made Dawn cry (sorry for that)...it's not directed at her.....it's directed at you and everyone else for not thinking...Michael included....we
now have to accommodate everyone else and you want me to share in their joy when you just messed up Frankie's moment???
i'm not happy, sorry to say....and i think it's selfish on your part and Michael's to think that everyone should accommodate you now......So....no one thinks they should call Frankie and say 'gee frankie....we
weren't thinking....we really sorry we didn't really think this through.....' Too Much......you just think we're supposed to go cheerfully through this like it's no big deal....it is a big deal Linda!!!'

Wow. She seems like a real piece of work. I am SO SORRY that you are having to deal with this during such an exciting time!!! I know it's easy to say from the outside, but Please don't let her get to you guys!!!!!

My second cousin graduated the day before my shower- not even my wedding. My cousin- her mom, totally rescheduled her graduation party to Sunday so they could be at the shower and we could be at the graduation party. This is INSANE- feel free to send my post to this nut!

and another thing! Why don't you have your FH call her and say, 'you're right- I wasn't thinking- I can't believe I forgot to call Frankie's High School and remind them to reschedule since my wedding is that day'

I am stunned by this whole thing. I ran it by FH who was rendered speechless. Some people just think the world revolves around them. I'm sorry you even have to deal with this during such a special time!

You're definitely NOT rude... I totally appreciate it.... I thought maybe I was weird for thinking maybe I was insensative to her needs or something SHE'S got issues!! I feel bad for my FMIL.... she has to deal with her - they're sisters!!!

OMG! That woman is insane! Her son probably doesnt even care. I think my family went out to dinner only because they wanted to and I never had a graduation party. All my friends who DID have graduation parties waited until late summer when its hot. She seems pretty selfish to me and as hard as it is I would try to brush it off. Just unreal!

Families are so special aren't they? I would have fh call up his aunt and say that he is so sorry that he planned his wedding for the day of Frankie's graduation and he didn't know that it was on the same day and that if she and her family can't be there he will understand. We all have our priorities
He should then say that he would really love for them to be there but if they can't he will be sure to send them a few pictures of your day...

WHAT A PSYCHO!!! That woman is crazy! She could totally go to the graduation and have the party another day. People have graduation parties well into the summer. I would not even waste my time worrying about her. Let your FMIL take control of the situation. The aunt needs to deal with it and reschedule.

That s***t is crazy!!! I second that idea. My FMIL always tells me that when someone is upset and you kiss their *** they usually wind up getting even more mad. I am so sorry that this is going on and you have to deal with this when it is about such a special moment in your life. I had a graduation party and to be honest I dont even remember it.

You should tell her, oh yeah, I'm sorry we weren't thinking when we picked
1. The most popular month for weddings because of the great weather
2. A Saturday since that's the best day for everyone
3. Enough lead time to plan this thing!!!

And how does a school schedule a graduation day when the school year hasn't even started yet??

Has anyone even asked 'Lil Frankie' what he thinks?? Sure, he doesn't want the week before, but who says they can't do the week after or even the day after!!! And apparently she does have issues if she's still calling her 17 year old son 'lil'
