Both of us are union employees and pick our vacations by seniority, it was the only time we could both get 2 weeks off. So romantic, I know!

DH wanted to go to hawaii in June cause it has the least rain fall. Then the hall we wanted had a lower minimum on fridays & sundays (75ppl) as opposed to a saturday night (125ppl) (btw- no difference in price from a saturday). So we had it narrowed down a little bit but then the RH actually had every fri & sunday that month open when we booked So I just stared at the calendar & realized we were engaged on June 10th in 2005 & it turned out to be a Sunday in 2007. So that's how we picked our date !

Well...October is my favorite month of the year. Not too hot not too cold. Also 10/7 reversed is 7/10 which is the day of our first kiss!

I wanted summer as a teacher and also I always envisioned having a summer wedding with warm weather. A Friday because it costs less than a Saturday.

We got engaged in August & we needed at least a year to save money & plan. August is too hot & humid for me so we chose September. Plus, both sets of parents were married in September. My parents on the 10th & his on the 30th. The 22nd fell in between both of their dates so we picked September 22. Plus, I think it sounds pretty.

We wanted to make it at a time when it would not be too hot and have it convenient for our OOT guests who have to travel, however now its become more of a problem for everyone. My dream would've been Columbus Weekend, but my cousin's son was getting married that weekend. He ended up postponing his a year, so I could've had that date. Oh well.

We are both teachers and it was th Friday of Feb. break. We couldn't take off of work, so it was perfect for the HM. I also always wanted a winter wedding, so it worked out perfectly.
