Your Proposal: How did he do it?

My fh asked me at the top of the empire state building it was soooooooo cute..My answer to him was 'for real, for real, are u kidding'. I was crying and people were watching and congratulating us.. it was sooo crazy..I didn't really get to see the view..but it's a great story to tell though...

At Tam O'Shanter CC (private) we walked over to the 18th hole and it was a full moon and we were smoking and I turned arounf & he was on one knee w/ the ring box open and it glisend in the moonlight..

I was SHOCKED, I knew it was coming but our plan was to at least have the date set & the venue booked, ( which we don't have either in stone)

I couldn't speak, :

I wasn't expecting it, we went to dinner before at a local restaurant , had 2 bottels of wine and I thought we were just going home, I was exhausted from the week and full, and wanted nothing more than for us to go home & LAY down w/ our puppies (we have 2), and ta-dah**

It was at Cinderella’s castle in Disney…. We had the best seat – right by the window upstairs – we could see the park – it was beautiful! After dinner they brought out a dessert tray with a lid on it and lifted it up… inside was a glass slipper laying on flower petals.. the slipper said on the side will you marry me with the ring in it on a rose! I was so excited I started to cry so bad! Then he got down on one knee and asked! I DIED!! It was amazing! Then we had VIP seats to the Parade and then watched fireworks and THEN rode Space Mountain 3 times in a row! I'll never forget that night!

these are amazing stories!!! so romantic!
he proposed to me when we went to Turkey, this summer. it was such a surprise. it was the last night and we were at his uncles summer place and it was at night. we were walking by the pool and we were sitting and talking... he popped the question and i started to cry and i said 'are you kidding me' like 10 times!! it was so romantic under the stars it s a trip i will never forget!!!

He proposed on my b'day he took me to dinner, I should have known he was going to beacuse i gratauted in May with my MBA and I did not get a present I guess he was saving for the ring.

New years-he asked as the countdown started so that I would say yes at midnight
It was a complete surprise b/c he said he would never do it in front of a group of people or a holiday!!!
So-he stood behind me and when the countdown starte dhe pulled on my hand-me being a NYorker I was totally fixed on the TV of Times Square-so I turned around -aggrevated and said WHAT!!!!!!! and he was down on one knee-I almost died!

OMGoodess all these stories are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My FH took me to the beach on the last day of summer (my favorite season) and to make a long story short he wrote will you marry me on the sand while I was helping this girl fix her kite. So i said yes and here we are 2 and a half years later

We bought the ring together on a wednesday (he paid, I was there 'cause he knows NOTHING about diamonds) - and on Thursday, at 11pm when I was tired and cranky after working all day and all I wanted to do is go to bed, he just said 'will you be Mrs. Rich' in a kidding kind of voice. (Rich is his first name).

Nothing planned, nothing romantic, no sweet words...and I'm still pretty upset over it. After 5 years, I at LEAST deserved a little surprise, don't you think?

he proposed the day before 4th of July, we were getting ready to go my best friends house for a BBQ and he showed up and proposed to me right in my driveway!!!

My fiance took me to Montauk for the weekend and out to a fancy dinner...that night we walked down to the beach and during a thunder storm he proposed...we will never be able to get that romantic moment back again...because I have never seen a thunderstorm WITHOUT rain before. Have you? I was crying and jumping and laughing...I beamed for the rest of the night and the weekend!

We were making travel plans to go to a friend wedding in Florida. FH hates flying but said he wanted to overcome his fear. He asked if I minded if he left the day before me. I didn't mind since he could pick up the rental car and I would have to wait We attending the wedding in South Beach and then spent the rest of our vacation in Ft Lauderdale. We always go to one really nice dinner where we get all dresses up. The restaurant we always go to is on the beach so he thought it would be great if we went right before sunset. We got to the restaurant about 45 inutes before our reservation so we decided to take a walk on the beach. Right before we are going to head to the restaurant he gives me the biggest hug and kiss and then pulls away and gets down on one knee. I threw my shoes and my bag onto the sand and dropped to my knees. I couldn't believ it was happening. It took me a while because I was crying so much that he finally had to ask me for an answer. Of couse I said YES YES YES.

I work in the jewelry industry and the week before we were leaving I say him in the lobby of my building. He said he just dropped by to say hello (at the time he was working the overnight shift at a hotel 3 blocks away) I didn't think anything was odd about that. Turns out he was picking out my diamond. He wanted to leave before me so that if security wanted to check him I wouldn't see the ring.

Sorry it was long but I love retelling the story!!!!

It was this past August. It was our first night in the Bahamas. We were just taking a walk on the beach when he told me to close my eyes b/c he had a surprise for me. When I opened my eyes he was kneeling in the sand w/ the ring box open. He then asked me to marry him. I will never forget it

We were in college, at different schools doing the long distance thing. He'd come to visit for my birthday (it was the night before my bday). He took me out to dinner and we went back to my place, and were hanging out. I had a claddagh ring that he'd given me that he liked to take off my finger and play with, and he did that and I was trying to get it back from him, reaching for the hand I saw something shiny in, and he said 'It's not in that hand.' (at which point I suddenly knew exactly what was happening). Then he said 'will you marry me?' and put the ring on my finger.

I freaked out, froze, took the ring off, gave it back to him and said 'wait, can you do that again?'
(yes. really.)

so, being the good sport that he is, he got up off the bed and went down on one knee in the middle of my dorm room. I asked him if he'd asked my dad, and he said he had, and I finally said yes.

We were going up to visit our college for a football game (he used to play) and he wanted to go one of the waterfalls. I thought it was weird that he wanted to go so badly, but I went along, figuring he probably just missed the area since we hadn't been back in over a year. So we walked down near the waterfall and he was like let me take a picture of you. So he started to take the picture and was like oh let me get a better angle and kneeled down. He took the picture and I went to give him my camera and when I looked back at him he had the box in his hand!! It was so romantic and I was so surprised! My picture shows me right after we got engaged at the waterfall

he put the ring inside a large pink satin covered 'egg' on Easter Sunday, after he gave me a cute easter basket, he dropped to one knee and handed me the big egg telling me it didn't 'fit' in the basket.

We went to westbury gradens b/c thats where we want to take our pics...after checkin out all the spots we want to take pics.. we went to sit at the tables under the tree's and read the paperwork the lady had given us.. we had gotten up to go tot he car.. he said wait i for got something.. i kept walking.. he asked me to turn around.. he was on one knee.. it was cute
