Your regular size vs. your dress size.

Just trying to get a feel for what your regular jean size is vs. the dress size you ordered. I bought my dress of the rack and its a bit snug. Just want to see what normal wiggle room based on your answers!

Im a 12, dress 16.

I wanted to kill someone with my dress but the more I think about it (compared to friend's experiences, it wasn't that bad) I'm normally a six but they told me eight... so just one size up but I was annoyed.

My sister (who is TINY, much smaller than me) is normally a 2/4 and she is a 10 in her dress b/c that's how much bigger that company runs!!! thank god my company is pretty true to size b/c if i had to wear a 16 when i'm a 6 i would FLIP

Gotta love the self-esteem boost by the bridal industry!!

Maybe they're hoping that we will be so bummed about how 'big' we are that we'll dress ourselves up with $500 tiaras and haircombs?

I'm 4'10, if I fit into a normal woman's size I would look like a perfect circle!

It's really a pain in the butt. NOTHING ever fits me right and when I tried on dresses they were so huge even with the clips I couldn't get a 'real' idea of how it would like...I'm flying blind here!

I was so jealous when you posted that the dress fit you so you knew exactly what you were getting.

Sorry, I'm laughing at the thought of a perfect circle walking down the aisle in a wedding dress.

Seriously, thank you. I guess I never realized how difficult it is if you can't see the way the dress actually fits you. I'm sure you'll look beautiful not matter what!

I normally wear a 6 and they ordered me an 8 in my dress size. Nothing too crazy!!

About a 4 or 6 and the ordered a 12, the sample size they told me I was all over the size chart (way to make a girl feel akwardly shaped.

I am fairly close actually. 'Street'clothes I wear a fourteen. She said I was in between a 14 and 16 in the dress, so we ordered the 16.

My goal is to have the dress taken in... a LOT! we'll see how that goes!

Ok so I am the large 07 girl. I am a 16-18 daily and I got a 20. They have to take it in a little but not to much.

regularly 4-6 (i try to shop in stored=s where i am a 4 :))
dresses i tried on 8 why doesnt the bridal industry get a clue and make us all size 2s!!!???

Sorry for posting on your thread but, I'm usually a size 4 and they ordered me a size 10 dress and it only needs to really be hemmed and the chest needs to be taken in.

Same here size 4/6, ordered a 10 - but they'll probably have to let the chest out!

Oh I wanted to put a gun to my head with this one.

I wear a street size 10 and had to order a size 18 in my dress. My boobs were the issue, guess it could be worse right

same here. I didn't order yet, but that's what I'm measuring.

I'm normally a 2/3 they ordered me a 6. I found that way weird since the sample was an 8 and before it was clipped the whole bodice slid down to my hips but whatever.
