How did you pick your date? Is there significance? I am trying to figure out a date and nothing 'pops' out so it's making our decision hard.

I originally wanted 11/1/14 it's all saints day!!! I'm catholic and working as a catholic school teacher and am religious not too religious but religion is quite important to me. When I went venue hunting and found the one I am in love with and booked November was too expensive and December was 65 pp cheaper do we chose December 6 which is a wonderful religious holiday the feast of st Nicholas!!! And it just so happens my fiancé is Nicholas!

We chose March 29 because it's FH's birthday. I was all over the place about dates and wanted to have it kind of narrowed down before we went to venues so we laid out calendars for 2013 and 2014 with the holidays highlighted to see if any dates popped out at us and he noticed his birthday was on a Saturday in 2014. He likes it because it'll make it easy for him to remember our anniversary and also we got engaged on my birthday so we thought it would be nice to have been engaged on my birthday and be married on his, it gave it significance. Plus his birthday isn't like a big deal to him where he minds sharing it with our wedding. It worked out for us too because it's still considered off season in March so it it was cheaper for us but we could still have it on a Saturday like he wanted.

I was into the idea of 4th of July weekend before FH was because I figured we could save a lot of money because certain venues would be less money. It was his idea to do it on the 3rd, which is a Thursday, to not only save even more, but so that everybody could still enjoy a 3-day weekend after and we would always have the day off after our anniversary. All in all, the decision seems to work out pretty well for everyone. :)

We definitely wanted a fall wedding since we don't like the heat and don't like the cold too much. We originally wanted an October wedding but quickly realized that October was just as expensive as September so we went a bit earlier. We'll have daylight a little longer and our outside cocktail our will be a little warmer too.

I just liked the sound of the 15th of November for some reason. We just realized that maybe it's because we started dating on the 15th of April!

We picked July 4th because that was the date FH and I were matched on eHarmony. The day our lives 'began' with one another and the day we will 'officially begin' our lives together. I wanted Flowerfield and they happened to have the date available and at a discounted rate from their normal HIGH summer prices.

I haven't settled on a date yet, but we do know that we want to get married in the winter. I feel like Jan-March are so boring. Theres not much going on and people are looking for an excuse to party. My goal is to start looking at venues after the holidays and plan a wedding in under a year. I know, I'm crazy.

We decided first to see if any of the dates that have any significance to us were on a Saturday. Since they weren't, we opted to just take what was available and fit within our budget. Luckily, with the time of year we chose they were able to throw in a lot of extras.

We decided on May 23rd, we wanted a Friday night and May is a huge party for us (the 1st in my birthday , the 21st is our anniversary, the 22nd is FHs birthday, and now the 23rd will be our wedding anniversary! )

We knew we wanted to get married in the fall and we wanted to have plenty of time to pay and plan without getting stressed so we debated halloween for a little bit but then ultimately decided on 10/18 which is the date of when we re ran into each other after 3 yrs and started dating shortly after.

We knew we wanted to get married in the winter because we LOVE the cold. When we were picking the day, we were limited because my cousin got married in January as well as my brothers birthday so we didn't want to pick their days. We chose the 18 because it was available, a holiday weekend so our out of town guests can PARTY for the weekend and not worry about going to work the next day and I love even numbers ;) 1.18.14 sounds PERFECT to us <3

It came to me over time. we know we love summer and we met in august so I thought the date of our first date! august 20th. no luck! falls on bad days for the next 2 years. then I thought hey we met on sunday august 1st, but the 1st fell on bad days as well so we just settled on the first sunday in august, 2014 lol! the date kind of found us, but it's the day we met 4 years to the date so I think its simple and perfect for us.

FH did not want a summer wedding, and I didn't want a winter wedding. Since we narrowed it down to either spring or fall, we decided that we wanted to get married sooner than later (spring)! We started dating on the 26th of November, so we like the number 26! A Saturday was important to us, since FH's family will all be traveling from out of state. 04.26.14 seemed perfect for us!

My parents and my sister got married Labor Day weekend and FHs parents got married end of October so I figured end of sept or beginning of oct would honor both sides-So we had a couple dates picked out but we both found ourselves telling people when they asked '10/12/14' so we went with it! And it's also Columbus Day weekend.
In the end we chose 10/11/14 bc the venue we fell in love with was booked on our day and gave us Sunday prices for a Saturday wedding.
