We chose our wedding date because that was the first day we spoke on the phone after we exchanged numbers. LOL! Some might say 'How can you remember the date of your first phone call?' My FH sent me an email to confirm that my number was right. ;o)
I can relate! My fiance texted me for the first time on 8/14/11 (8+1+4+1+1= 15) after I gave him my number two days prior. We both have weird work schedules so he wasn't sure if I could talk so he sent me a text. He asked me to be his gf on 9/22/11 (9+2+2+1+1= 15). The number 15 pops up in significant dates of our relationship, hence why we chose our wedding date with this in mind. Is it weird that we noticed that??? LOL...

When FH and I were talking about getting married we both wanted a date that was easy to remember since we're both really bad with dates. I couldn't remember our dating anniversary for the life of me (I actually had to call my mom and ask her bc that was the day she got let go from her job). So I was like well what about like... 11.12.13 or 12.13.14 as a joke and he really liked that idea. We decided on 12.13.14 because its the last of the consecutive numbers for a while :) Then when he actually proposed... he proposed on 12.13.12 during the meteor shower. We also had our first date on the 13th of october so we thought it just has a lot of meaning.

We booked 5/25/14 (Sunday of Memorial Weekend). We picked it 1) because we got Sunday pricing for basically a Saturday since everyone is off on Memorial Day and 2) Because it is so nice to be able to spend a long weekend with the family. Now they can come on Friday and stay through Monday and 3) because our friends in the bridal party that live out of town won't have to take of work to travel to NY for the rehearsal and everything. They can come in on Saturday & go home on Monday so that they don't have to use any vacation days from work :)
Exactly this but the Sunday of Columbus day weekend (10/12/14)! And I liked the consecutive even numbers!
Sunday of Columbus Day weekend was my first choice! I loved the consecutive even #s too and my favorite season is the fall! The only reason we didn't choose it was because my RH was actually a little less expensive in May than October! Go figure!

We were originally going to do 5/25 because I like that its divisible by 5 (yes, weird!). But then I found out I graduate from grad school on 5/23 and that was just cutting it too close. So 5/30 it is :)

We chose our wedding date 3/5/14 because it will be our 10 year anniversary. We're having a civil ceremony, then the wedding reception on 3/8/14, the following Saturday.

There's someone else floating around on the boards who's getting married on 5/25/14. I'm sure more will come in! Those 3 day weekends are popular and, like my RH told me, there are only 4 weekends in the year that will always have Monday...Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day...and I always forget the last one lol...President's Day?

I thought I just picked a day in the summer. I always wanted to get married in June or July and this year was too close. So I picked the end of June because I'm a teacher and he fh can't get off in July and August The fh pouted out to me that my favorite number is 14 it was my number for everything and we are getting married 2014. And on the 28 which is 14 doubled. Too bad I didn't realize this when I booked. Funny how things work out

We picked the first weekend in June because the weather will be warm (average is low 70s, high 60s) and the sun doesn't set until around 8:00PM. We definitely did not want a summer wedding - FH could not imagine wearing a tux in 80+ degree weather. We were thinking either late spring or fall but ultimately picked spring because I prefer the colors then :)

Your Wedding Date
Our date doesn't have a meaning, we just knew we wanted a fall wedding. October is crazy with my birthday being on the 2nd and FH being on the 12th, so the first to weeks were out. I hate the cold so the rest of October wouldn't have worked. So we went the week before my birthday! So there will be a lot of celebrating come that time of the year!
I will be getting married 6 days before my 29th birthday lol
Edited: I keep adding a year to my birthday! I apparently have no issues with getting older lmao
