Your wedding month

What made you pick it?
We are thinking either April/May or September/October.

I wanted a winter wedding w/a Christmas theme, but financially it wasn't going to be possible. Then it was a fall wedding, but at the last minute I lived out my dream of getting marrie din the late spring on Mackinac Island....It was awsome and I couldn't be happier.......In October when we would have been married I was sick and there was a tornado the night before and it rained the whole next day. Our wedding was outside so in hind sight it was a great choice to move the wedding.

July because I'm a teacher and also because we got a great price. (I wanted a fall wedding but apparently October is more expensive than July).

so may 31st was it and we're also having a small ceremony on June 1.. a post wedding ceremony.. so this way we can have june 1st as our anniversary as well.. thus capping off June!!

What are you doing differently from the 31st and the 1st??

We have a ceremony where the bride is brought to the groom's house for the first time as his wife.. they give something sweet to both the bride and groom.. give the bride some jewelery and family heirlooms and stuff.. usually it happens right after ceremony.. and after the reception.. but our families figured it would be too much on the same day and picked the next day which happens to be June 1 so it worked out..

We picked the end of may bc we figured we would get June weather and less chance of rain...it worked out we had a gorgeous day.

July....Teacher's Schedule...If I wasn't a teacher, I would have wanted a romantic winter wedding. I'm still happy though...we are having a beach wedding instead.

July basically because I am a teacher. I did not want to do it right after the school year ended and august was too close to the beginning of school.

Love the summer..and since we couldn't get the date we were engaged...we picked the time! 8:15pm!

Thanks everyone for the responses!! FI and I checked out a few halls this weekend, and I cannot believe the price difference from September/October then November/December. . Thanks again for all your help
