Has anyone who got their engagement ring from zales had any problems with it?? I've only been wearing my engagement ring for 2 months and a stone falls out! I don't even wash my hands with it on, i'm soo gentle with it.. But anyway, me and FH go back to zales and they tell me they'll repair the ring and it'll be ready in TWO MONTHS! So I'm supposed to go two months without a frickin engagement ring (that i've been only wearing for two months!) because they don't know how to make their rings properly! And they won't even give me a replacement ring to wear in the meantime! Has anyone else had any problems like this?

I've never heard of any jewelry repair taking two months!!!!! that's ridiculous. are they ordering you a totally new setting or something??

no! they just need to put a stone back in! I'm wondering if this is gonna happen every two months or something...this is so ridiculous...my FH has my ring now, I feel so bad without it

ughhh FH loves Zales I hate Zales
and that is where FH got my e-ring from...but he bought it at the one in San Diego cause he is stationed out there
but when i asked to have the balls put on or the ring resized they said 10 days!! WHAT THE F***!!!!!!
so needless to say i dont know why it takes 10 days to resize a ring when my mom went to her jeweler to get a ring resized and they did it right there in front of her and it took an hour!!!!!!!!!
I DO NOT LIKE ZALES they are not very customer service friendly either- well at least here on LI...FH said they are sooo nice in San Diego...

My engagement ring is from Zales. I've had it since February of '06 and have yet to have a problem with it. I don't see why the repair would take so long though. Did they tell you why it would take 2 months?

ohh plus i fought with Zales when i said i have the insurane and it gives me free resizing and said i dont want to wait 10 or more days for it to be resized and they were like well we dont make appointments and we dont let you watch us fix it because we do it in a back room- and then i said well i will have my diamonds taken out then please and you can resize it without the diamonds in it...they said NO to that as well
so i brought my business elsewhere to get the balls put on it
FH was a little mad becaus he paid $ to get the insurance and have free resizing and etc but I was not about to leave it for 10 days...
I dont know if it is right for 2 months they would need to fix it...i would speak to the Manager of Zales....

zales lost my original e-ring ... gave the fh another one of lesser value to pass it off.. mine was a 3 stone platinum.. they gave him a solitaire wg rring which wasnt even my size!
he got his money back and got me the new one i just got! which was custom made.

this might be a stupid question, but would another jewler be able to replace the stone on the spot? how much would that cost...

Mine is from Zales also. I have had mine since April 06 and Haven't had any problems with it. I even have the insurance and I get the free cleanings every 6 months. Thats crazy 2 months to get it back. Try going to a different one and see what they say. I have never herd of that.

he wanted to make the stones bigger in it, and in the process of that they lost it! stumps me. i was in tears for the longest time and without a ring for 2 months!!!!!!! i hate Zales. i have earrings and a bracelet from there that justin bought me for our anniversary. that's the only thing we'll ever keep going there for. for the check up & cleanings.

I definitely understand that..i've only been without the ring for a little over a day and I feel terrible...I don't know how I'd be able to go two whole months without it...I guess i'll try other zales stores...

I wish! They definitely won't be giving me a refund..he bought the ring in november and you only have 30 days to return it...thanks for the help girls...i'll check out trying to get it fixed at another jewelry store..

i got mine from the diamond distric I love them there. Reasonable and willing to work with you sizing on site etc. I couldn't go to them when my stone got lose 3 months after so i went some where local and it cost me 5 bucks to tighten the stone into the setting you have to really watch them
