Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
So here is the situation. I think I mentioned that I changed my wedding dress. I originally ordered a dress from Bridal Reflections and gave them a deposit of $1,000. I started to have severe second thoughts the next day and asked them to cancel the order. They did and I eventually ended up purchasing a dress from Kleinfelds.Despite the fact that the dress never went into production, the store refuses to refund the deposit. They will however issue me a store credit. Unfortunately there is nothing else I need from this bridal salon (everything else is either purchased or will be purchased elsewhere).
I know most brides have had positive experiences at Bridal Refelctions, as did I. The probelm was that the dress that was THE ONE for me was at Kleinfelds.
I tried to work this out with BR but they have a no refund policy. My credit card company is in the process of disputing the charge for me. If I'm left with a store credit. Can any of you make use it ? What I can do is charge for 75% of the store credit.
I'm hoping that I do not offend anyone with this offer or that I'm not breaking any rules. If I am just chalk it up to me being an indecisive, naive, overwhelmed bride

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
You have the right to change your mind as you are the bride and you should wear the dress of your dreams. I hope that BR gives you the money back or that the dispute goes through. They just want you buy something from them no matter what and thats not fair.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
Well I went to BR when I first started looking but I thought they were pushy making me try on these dresses that I just hated. I know that sometimes you can fall in love with a dress that you might not like but they kept pushing these gaudi dresses on me that just wasn't me. I personally didn't like them from the beginning but everybody has different experiences.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
I hope you get your money back or get a reasonable percentage of it from another bride (I would have gladly bought your credit when I was paying for my dress).BUT... almost every single bridal salon (including Kleinfelds) has a similiar policy. Brides change their minds all the time and a store that sells bridal gowns just cant run without having a similiar policy. I know it ****s to be on the raw end of that deal but its a known quantity.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
If it doesn't work out and I hope it does, but if it doesn't, did your girls (if your having) get their bridesmaid dresses yet? Maybe they can use your credit there and give you the money. Just a suggestion, hopefully it won't have to come to that.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
Actually Kleinfelds policy is that if the dress did not go into production, you are reimbursed for 75% of your deposit. I could understand BR charging a small cancellation fee but giving me a store credit I can't use seems unreasonable.

Can you use the credit for the bridal party gowns or dresses for the moms? They also have some beautiful headpieces and jewelry you can use it on.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
In Bridal Reflections' defense and many other salons, they do state and post in the store or on the contract that no refunds will be granted.I do wish they were a little more sympathetic towards brides, but it's not like they were trying to deceive you. Believe me, I wish the policy didn't exist, but could you imagine how many girls would cancel if it didn't!?! They could be potentially stuck with gowns that are in production and no funds to pay the manufacturer for them!

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
I hope we are talking about the one in Carle Place -I went to the one in Massapequa and couldn't be happier with the service I got there - JMO... Hopefully I will be treated the same way when my dress actually comes in
I'd like to believe that I will
As for the policy, I agree with Jenny5150.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
I feel bad about your situation but I have to agree with Jenny5150. They do post their refund policy and you are aware of it. A lot of other bridal stores have a similar policy. I suggest that you make sure you love the dress 100 percent and that you are fully aware and understand the store policy. Good luck with you situation.

Re: Bridal Reflection/Carle Place Brides
They did tell me that the deposit is nonrefundable and a store credit would be issued. See My mom wanted to put a deposit down on a dress, but I wasn't sure If it was THE ONE for her. Obvously they wanted to make a sale, so they said something about putting a deposit down to lock the price, blah, blah, blah and that is when they told me about their refund policy. I bought my dress from there, I haven't had a problem yet. I have beeen there 4 times to try on the sample for my sisters and friend and they have been so helpful. I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time with them. Please let me know how everything turns out. IMO they should have told you that the deposit was nonrefundable.
