Hank Lane / More Than Music DJ's

Hi.. I went to visit Hank Lane for Dj's which is under their 'More Than Music' company. They don't show you any samples or anything so I was wondering if anyone has ever been to a wedding with one of their Dj's and what you thought?? Any feedback, good or bad would be helpful!

They say they are great but it is hard to just take their word for it without hearing/seeing ANYthing!

I went to a wedding where Hank Lane did the music. They had a band, and it was great. My friend also has Hank Lane DJ their holiday party every year, and she says that they are great.

I met with Hank Lane Bands/D.J's, you just need to be careful. My FH and I also did not like the fact that you could not 'see' on DVD the bands/D.J.'s you'd be interested in choosing, you were only able to listen to them. I hear, and I don't know how true this is, that the reason they dont let you see any videos is because the members of the bands/D.J's frequently change so they dont want you to see who you're actually getting. I'm not sure how true/untrue this is but I know that my FH and I were not 100% happy with them for that reason. Good Luck!

It is true. I have heard this many times and I am an event planner in the city. This was the main reason I did not go with them. I want to see the band/dj I am signing with, even if it is madonna I want to see madonna.


Would you book the Fox Hollow, Tavern on the Green, or the North Ritz Club without seeing it? how about your dress?

I see your getting married at the Carltun, so I am assuming your using there music list. I am in the process of doing this and I have now met with all 3 companies. Steven Scott is the same, you meet a salesperson. At platnium productions, we met the owner who is also a dj but might not do you party. He was willing to let you meet the dj/mc that you will have though. I still have some more dj to see, but on the Carltun list I thought platnium was the most accomodating.

Not a fan of the way Hank Lane does business. I don't care how many years they have been doing business this way, I wanted to see people live and in person doing what they do.

I used the Michael Hart Band by Hank Lane. They were great! At the end of the wedding my maitre d asked my Dad what band they were bc they were the best he has seen!

Ian and Mike at hank Lane were great and very easy to do business with.

I actually went to a wedding where Kenny ford from Hank Lane music performed. They were great!
