Plain-Jane Wedding Gowns
Can anyone suggest a designer who makes super-simple gowns? I'm not having any luck looking for something with no beading or lace or anything fancy. Thanks!

try going to the kleinfelds website. they let you sort by gown type and will bring up designers that make that type.

Re: Plain-Jane Wedding Gowns
If you have a big budget for the dress, go with Vera Wang or Ulla Maija.

Re: Plain-Jane Wedding Gowns
Jamie Lynne Discala's wedding dress was pretty simple. It was plain in front and laced up in the back. I think it was Vera Wang. Have you seen her dress (so sorry she's getting a divorce but anyway...)? Is that what you are looking for? This one is from Jasmine. I think they have a couple of beautiful dresses that are not too ornate.

I agree with Vera Wang and or/BM dresses (that'll save you money too!). JCrew also has wedding gowns now and they seem nice..I was considering that if I had a destination wedding.

Marisa also has a lot of simple gown. Mine had one diagonal fold of fabric and that was it.

Re: Plain-Jane Wedding Gowns
Check out Davinci -- that is where my dress was from. There was beading on the bottom of the sash, but I cut it off. Their dresses are pretty inexpensive to.Also check out J. Crew - it doesn't get more simple than that.

Re: Plain-Jane Wedding Gowns
I have a Romona Keveza dress. Some of the Romona Keveza dresses are very simple. Just be careful. Plain Jane style does not equal Plain Jane prices. My dress has not a bead or a pearl or so much as a stitch on the front or the back. It is plain silk and even though I am not paying full price, it is expensive. It also depends on where the material comes from and how many layers the dress is.
