Tri County Flea Market!

What is it?
Where is it?
What do they sell?

I tried to look it up and I get some site about jewelry... do they sell other things?

I keep hearing about great deals from there and I want to take a trip there one day!

Any info is greatly appreciated!
TIA!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

I don't know about everyone else's experiences, but the place was kinda dingy, its on hempstead turnpike in levittown, I went to get barrettes for my niece since she's my flower girl and I found cute ones for $3 a piece, but I don't think I would go back there, they're all independent vendors so there's no real like website that they can display everything on. again, I don't know about everyone else's experiences, but that's JMO, HTH!!!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

I can't say that I have ever actually been there, but...it is in Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike. A lot of ladies go there for their veils and tiaras. The vendor is Barrons. HTH!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

its a flea market and there definetly is NOTHING fancy about it. but there are plenty of vendors that sell wedding related things. i got my hair clips, earrings, MOH hair pins, RB pillow and my mom got her purse there. we were able to bargain and get great deals. certainly worth taking a looksy!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

A great place to look for cheap yet gorgeous rings is (if they're still in business) Whitehall or Lundstrom Jewelers in the mall. FH and I found our rings in November for about a 3rd of their original cost ($1500 worth of jewelry for $450). FH got a simple gold band, whereas I got a pretty white gold band with four tiny diamond baguettes. They were going out of business at South Shore Mall in Bay Shore not too long ago--don't know if they've finally closed or not. The website isn't working anymore.

Either way, if you can find a going-out-of-business jeweler, you're set!!!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

If you are a bargain shopper go there. By njo means is it dingy...just dont expect high class. If you have ever been to the flea market off of sunrise then its very much like that. I liked it because you can talk prices down AND a lot of the vendors hand make the items for you! I am having my DOJ made and I am very excited!!!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

One of my relatives owns a huge portion of space in the flea market- def not dingy- it's a flea market though! It ain't the Americana! But they have great stuff - especially the jewelery dept. upstairs and of course Barrons and a whole bunch of vendors!

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

It is open on the weekends. It is an indoor flea market. You cant miss it on Hempstead tpke. It is nothing fancy.. flea markets usually aren't. That's why you get good deals. It's cheap.. and so not high class. But it works when you have a budget. I've been there 100 times.. its worth it to save.

I think I might have mine made there. There was a booth(I cant remember the name now) that the woman made the veil for you. I think I might do that!

Barrons. It's on the first floor. On the perimeter. Near one of the entrances ( I think the front - we entered through the rear). I ordered my veil from there on Saturday.

Edit - to answer original post....along the lines of what others say. It's a flea market. Not high class. Not dingy. I wasn't there long but definitely want to go back and see what deals I can find.

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

It like any other flea market. It has independent seller and some sell thing kindof cheap. It all has to do with if you were lucky to find what you were looking for.

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

I went to Baron's to look at headpieces. They have lots to choose from. I found a few possibilities. It's worth checking out but, it is a flea market, so definitely not the nicest looking store.

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

I just bought my veil and ring pillow from Barron's the other day. Very nice people to deal with - not pushy at all.

Re: Tri County Flea Market!

I was doubtful I was going to find anything there, but I found a veil! I actually took a veil there and she matched it exactly, for 1/4 of the price! The name was Barron's Bridal Boutique. 516.735.3828. Booth A-4
