Do any of you like to camp?

I know we previously discussed it but I'm getting antsy. I want to camp and we need to have camping buddies.

We are usually total crunchies and go into the woods but we're willing to camp at one of the place on the island with bathrooms and such.

Who's coming?

yeah... I'm with her!

Usually if my friends are camping, I'll go and hang out until its time to go to sleep and then drive home.

Re: Do any of you like to camp?

DH's family goes camping eevry Memorial Day weekend in South Jersey, so for the past 3 years, I've done it too.

I don't do hardcore camping - 'luxury' camping only...

We have a 2 room tent for 2 people, a double thick air mattress, the Weber Q grill... And of course the site has plumbling lol

Anyone ever see Troop Beverly Hills? That's what I think of whenever we set up our site (not real camping by any means)

Re: Do any of you like to camp?

We go camping every year on the Delaware river. It's at a place called Jerry's Three River Campground about an hour and a half away. They do have showers/bathrooms in the main camping area, but the site we stay on is a little bigger and more secluded and right on the river. There's a port-a-potty right by where you park your cars, too. Mostly we just sit around in the river and drink. The river is shallow enough though that you can wade across it and visit PA.

Here's us in the river!

Re: Do any of you like to camp?

DH is a hardcore camper. I don't go with him to the site they like in PA. They wash in a pond (if they wash), pee in the woods, etc... NOT MY THING

Same thing as Kris! I LOVE to go camping but DH has never been. Always says he'll do it but then chickens out last minute.

Re: Do any of you like to camp?

DH and I hate it. The only exception was when we went 'camping' (in quotes because we were in cabins, not tents) with friends at Mammoth Cave and had a lot of fun. However, DH and I snuck away at some point and got Wendy's because we hated food on the fire .

Re: Do any of you like to camp?

I know for a fact my hubby is not the camping type.

I have done hiking, but never camping. Don't know how I would do. I love seeing people doing it on TV and looks like fun.

I just think that my 'quirkiness' regarding cleanliness and insects, might just make it an unpleasant experience.

but I think I can overcome them, if given the opportunity....I think...

We've camped at Kittatinny on the Delaware River as well - that was a lot of fun!
