Dress, Veil, Jewelry...What are you doing with them?!

So we have our TTD shoot in October, so until then I can't do much w/ my dress, but I still can't decide what to do with it after. I don't know if I want to keep it - the likelyhood of my future daughter wearing it is probably slim to none lol, and that's if I have a daughter. So keeping it just to keep it, it will just take up closet space. I could donate it, that's another option. What are you ladies doing?

The one thing I do want to preserve is my veil. Is there such a thing? I love it and it's def something I hope to one day be able to pass down to our daughter or maybe future daughter in law in case we have a son (I'm getting all sentimental lol)

I also at one point thought I'd want to sell my jewlery and headband, but now I don't want to part ways with those either. What are you ladies doing? I realy want to be able to wear my earrings and bracelet on our anniversaries or something.

And I'm wearing it all again for TTD. I'm doing my makeup and hair differently though cuz I didn't like how my hair came out in my wedding pics

Edited for: I loved my makeup, just wanted something a little more edgy for TTD.

My SIL is very crafty I am having her make pretty throw pillows out of my dress. My veil I gave her and told her she can use it anyway she want. My DOJ is all stuff I had that meant something to me- so I use it still.

I think I am just going to preserve them

My sister will probably use my veil, then I will just keep it

Most likely keeping everything at first I thought I would just get rid of it all but I have 3 sisters who might use my veil or jewelry as their something borrowed and my dress I just cant part with it yet maybe after my ttd

Well considering that my dress has a HUGE black grease streak down the entire train, I don't even know if its worth trying to clean it

I'm going to sell my veil and hairpiece if I can, and keep my earrings. The rest of my DOJ was left to me by my grandma so obviously I will keep those.

My necklace and bracelet I can totally wear again to another wedding...my headpiece I think I'm going to put in a shadow box with my cake topper and maybe something else from the wedding to hang in our house...one of my stepfather's close friends owns a dry cleaners in NYC so as part of my very generous wedding gift, she took my dress (all 11 feet of train) and is getting it preserved for me. I just can't part with it...and either I won't have girls or have girls with a different style, but I just can't let it go! I wish I could wear it again and again!

i still have no idea DH said just throw it out or donate it but I am scared I will regret it if I part with it but I also don't want to leave it wrapped up in a closet. as for the veil and head piece I paid under 50 for the two together so ill probably give it to a cousin to play with.

I preserved my dress and we are going to keep it to make Christening outfits for our future children. I kept my veil because I'm hoping that if we have daughters she can wear it or do something with it. I made my garter out of my mom's veil so maybe she can do something like that.

My sisters are going to wear the garter and maybe my headpiece. My cousin wore it and I think my sister has it now. My DOJ I can wear again and I'll probably wear the earrings to the wedding we have coming in Sept.

i'm still deciding. i have 2 dresses too..ugh. i' will def be preserving my veil and at least 1 of my dresses. debating on donating the other dress...still not sure though

I'm keeping everything! I had debated doing TTD but no way i can fit into my dress now with my in the oven I really don't want to sell my dress. You rarely recoup much money anyway so the sentimental value trumps it for me.

my vera wang veil is all full of snags from my bracelet and the ground and I'm so happy i got it for such a great price at the bridal garden since it got ruined anyway. I'll probably keep it but not bother getting it cleaned...maybe i'll have a little girl who'll use it for dress up. or a future halloween costume for me

my shoes are ruined as well I guess i had a great time

I def plan on wearing my jewelry again. Love my earrings and bracelet. My headpiece I'll save for a daughter/granddaughter/niece etc to play with

I kept my dress and my veils and my hair pin... everything else i gave to AMDA to use!

i already had my dress and veil preserved.
i saved my headpiece because i loved it and it has sentimental value and my DOJ was from Tejani and cost me and arm & a leg so I have already used it again onthe HM and will whenever we have a more formal function to attend

i wish i knew what to do with everything. i already did TTD, so i really should get my dress preserved but haven't yet. it's still hanging in my old room at my parents, and i get sad everytime i visit and see it there.
