I really would like to be pregnant with my first when I'm 29, so we'll probably start trying sometime in my 28th year...so like 4-4.5 years.

at first we thought we would have already started ttc this month actually but now we are buying a house and closing in may/june and so for the first 6 months to a year, we will be setting up the house, adjusting to payments, etc. so we want be ttc until next spring or summer im thinking

so get preggo 2012, 2013 babe

There really never is a perfect time financially. We wanted to buy a house first, get out of debt, and get new jobs, but we just stopped being careful and luckily it happened right away for us.

Since becoming pregnant, we have no more credit card debt, approved for a mortgage and looking for houses. So everything falls into place.

I think being emotionally ready is more important. You make due with what you have!!!!

Even though I'm 5 months pregnant and sometimes think, I'm not ready!!!! Heheh :)

I kind of disagree with no perfect time financially. I mean I know it will never be perfect or you are never 110% ready but Dh and I want to make sure we are out of credit card debt (six more months!!! woo hoo!!!) and we own a home (check!). These were super important to us and we have stuck by it. The other two things we are waiting on is for DH to finish his restoration on the car and for us to both advance our careers a little more. So we will be waiting a little longer.
