Funny things that happened at your wedding?

I have plenty... for starters, I thought my hairdo was falling out midway through the reception so I was on a mad hunt for hairspay. So of course I ran to the bridal bathroom basket my sister made, grabbed the huge aresole can and gave my head a long, stiff spray all over. As I went in for the second waive to ensure that super stiff hold, I noticed a powder fresh scent in the air.... turns out my hair was now coated with a super thick layer of DEODORANT! Hhahahaa! Sis forgot to put the hairspray in the basket..... Wooops!

My mom's cousin was our officiant (catholic bishop)

At the end of the ceremony, he announced that the was able to get a blessing from the Pope for our wedding day 'May 31, 2004'

There was a funny thing that happened at our wedding!! my cousins and friends sitting at the same table, took silly pictures of the weirdest things, such as the toilet in the bathrooms. And pictures of my cousin laying down with a beer bottle, and looking like he was sleeping.

They're a little strange but a lot of fun!!

Hmm During the garter removal one of DH friends pretended to be me and DH triend to take the garter off him..definitely the highpoint of the wedding.

at the altar, our individual candles for the unity candle got stuck in the holders and we both had to pull really hard to get them out. We ended up getting them out, laughing and lighting the candle. Before we lit the candle, I turned around and said, 'redo'. Apparently, my veil was like 6 inches from the flame as we were up there trying to get the candle out.

One of DH's cousins - serenaded her husband by taking the microphone and singing Wind Beneath My Wings along with the regular version of it. I was like !

When we were doing pictures at the house our small dog kept stepping on my train & I was dragginer her around on it!

The photographer wanted to take pics of me adjusting my veil in the mirror and from the angle I was standing the mirror was dusty so I ran & got a paper towel to dust it and they took pictures of that!!

My cousin who i havent seen in 15 years and her dance partner were doing the Lambada and all types of dirty dancing on the dance floor. The guy that I never met before in my life was rubbing his hands all up and down my cousins body and pulling her dress up...and stuff. Lets just say that Danielle wasnt amused but everyone else at the wedding was.

Funny thing: My brother and father are both musicians and my dad booked the band with guys he knew and so they let my brother play with them for a few songs (he had actually worked with the guys before, so it was cool)


Well, my very uptight, conservative businessman brother-in-law and his drunk-in-the-middle-of-a-nasty-divorce-friend got so into my brother playing that they started jumping up and down like a rock concert and we have my BIL on video sticking his tongue out.

We also have my mother and her friends 'rolling on a river'

Ha ha... those are some good ones...

There were a couple at my wedding.. The dog went out to greet the photographer as he was getting his bags out of the truck and decides to lift his leg on the camera!!
I was mortified!!

My lil sis go 'aunt flo' at the church right before she was about to walk down..

My DH was standing right in front of church door so all the people had to make a wall and walk with me to the 'secret' room so he wouldn't see me... everyone in the church was hysterical cause they see me ducking down behind my 4 ft mother... LOL.. i'm almost 6ft.. LOL

The unity candles blew out! Ha... some one forgot to shut the ac off.. and it blew them out right after we lit them..

and lastly... I had the special rice that melts in water, well they smelled so good that everyone started eating them!!! It said right on the bag that they aren't for human consumption!!! They all thought it was candy!
My grandfathers video caught everyone waiting outside, chowing down on it... too funny!

That's so funny!!

WEll, let's see...

At the ceremony, DH didn't understand the Deacon when he said Take and wear this ring...of course DH had to repeat, so he asked the deacon to repeat it and the deacon said it again. DH still didn't get it, but was embarrassed to ask a second time. So he just said what he thought he heard, which didn't sound so bad, but his face on the video is priceless!

THen, we had a problem with the unity candle that wouldn't light as well. It went out and I gave up, shrugged my shoulders and was about to walk down the steps off the altar when it went on again. Everyone was hysterical.

And then there's the reception...oh, the reception!!! I've never seen so many drunk people in my life (and DH and I met at the Boardy Barn!!! )

My dad was so nervous for his speech that he called us Feb and Sarah (not Seb and Farah) Poor guy, everyone was laughing at him...

My best friend broke the faucet in the ladies' room and took it with her!!!!! Apparently she's saving it for a first anniversary gift!

My dad's cousin fell on the floor three times while she was dancing!!!!

My grandmother did a dirty dance bit with my second cousin (her great nephew!!)

And of course we have the pics to go with all of this....

For the breaking of the glass ... DH and I had been given one as a gift and it was in a little velvet pouch. We brought it and gave it to the rabbi. Well when the rabbi handed it to DH I could see layers of bubble wrap sticking out of the pouch. DH noticed it too and we both started giggling...but he stepped on it anyway and instead of the sound of a glass breaking we heard a crackle noice. No one else noticed but we were dying inside!

One of my good friends who did the first reading burst into tears during the reading! It was so funny though the way it happened because she kept looking at me and saying, 'I'm sorry!'

Then the same friend almost got taken out on the dance floor by DH's cousin who was doing back handsprings across the dance floor. My friend was right in his path and got out of the way just in time (it's on the video footage too!)

The SAME friend (this girl is crazy ) along with one of my BMs smashed cake in DH's face after he and I fed each other cake. That picture is definately going in the album

My Husband (not at the time) and his father went to the mens room together (they were both blitzed) and got lost coming out and went in to another wedding. They were dancing with everyone and having a great time in the wrong wedding. My Husband was dancing with one of the BM and she confided the bride was 3 months pregnant. My FIL was having such a great time he invited people from that wedding back to his house AND THEY CAME

I was out on the dance floor dancing away and slipped on my train and fell on my @ss!! I was hysterical and on our video, all of a sudden you see 5 people picking me up off the floor and my dad running over to see if I was ok

at the church , my husbands cousin and my brother were doing the readings... i had typed up the readings for both of them incase they werent up there (thats the teacher in me!) well his cousin remembered but my brother forgot the paper.

comes time to his turn, music goes on and theres nothing on the podium.. so were sitting there, a song is being played right before and im trying to get the priests attentions by doing the psst.. sound... it was so funny!!! i cant wait to get my video back!

Ok, I have a couple.

My husband, who works help desk at his job, promised to support me during his vows, and said that it included Tech Support.

When Adam had to walk around me during the circling ceremony, I told him he had to go the long way around the train (I had a cathedral veil over a chapel train). The girls nearly died watching him Step Over the trains.

I have heard that my 11 year old cousin in the bridal party was dancing around in boredom during the ceremony.

During the Horah when they put us up in the chairs, the guys dropped Adam. He was okay, but my heart went in my throat.

Finally, I had a bridesmaid who's dancing style can only be compared to Cha Cha in the movie Grease. I had told a few BMs about it beforehand, and they came up to me in hysterics once they saw that I wasn't exaggerating.

OK. I have a couple too.

My uncle was going to do one of the readings. I gave him a copy beforehand to practice because he was nervous. He was told he couldn't bring it up to the alter, because they would have a reading there. Well, his turn came and they must have taken a different version of the bible and the beginning of the reading was different. He started reading and kept messing up. So instead of just continuing, he announced to the church that I gave him the wrong reading.
(It doesn't sound too funny now, but it was!)

DH has a friend that tends to drink too much. So, we have a picture of him on the ground on his back, trying to look up my dress (I coulnd't believe the photograoher got this shot!)

Same friend decided to start dirty dancing with my DH's 70 year old aunt. They were dancing around and she was swinging his tie above her head. We have about 30 pictures of this! I can't wait to see the video.

We had a Saturday night wedding it seemed like everyone was out to PARTY!! My Aunt was so drunk that at one point she was humping the speaker. LOL, I have it all on my video!!!

Oh, also...My DJ had each table pick 'The wild one at the table' They had to stand up on their chair and wave their napkins. My mom's friend was getting all into it....I guess in to it to much that she fell off the chair. She gets up and bows for everyone LOL!

Classic right?

This actually happened after the wedding. We had a bus taking people back into NYC after the wedding and the bus driver initally got a little lost. He drove down a dirt road which went into a wooded area and one of my BMs started to doing the Friday the 13th theme 'get,get,get,get, out, out, out, out'. Apparently the entire bus including driver burst into laughter.
