Re: Hey Slow Cookers!

V, I had that issue too (and my DH is amazed at what horrible luck I have), but it really is safe and ok! I put everything together the night before, take it out in the morning before I get in the shower so it reaches room temp, and then set it...and forget it!

Check out this site...easy recipes and good ones too!

crockpotgirls.com

Also, look on bettycrocker.com for some easy and yummy ones too! I love making soups in it...and chili is delish!

BBQ pulled chicken and YES i put the chicken in frozen!!!! It came out rediculously tender!!!

6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce (we used the jack daniels!!)
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Place chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian salad dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.
Cover, and cook 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.

Gonna use the recipe tomorrow to try pulled pork! Was going to so the chicken but the grocery store was completely out of chicken breasts!

Re: Hey Slow Cookers!

OMG!!! The pulled pork was amazing! I used the pulled chicken recipe but instead of chicken I used a pork tenderloin! It came out awesome! I used jack daniels spicy bbq sauce and added salt pepper and cumin for taste! I have so much left over though! I will say when I got home from work I got worried because it just looked like a yummy pork tenderloin floating in a bbq soup.Once I shredded the pork with two forks it looked like pulled pork! YUMMY!!!!

Re: Hey Slow Cookers!

I'm making the beef stew today, well I filled up the pot this morning and it's currently in the making. By the time we get home, it should be ready. I didn't have any of the W sauce, so hopefully that won't make a difference.

I found another one online, but then realized you posted one, so it was a mix of the two lol I'm excited it will be cooking for the entire time I'm at work, and then ready once we're back :)
