I have never used a Slow Cooker... I hve one though....
But... I guess i have to start preparing my items at 2:00pm so they can be ready for Dinner right????
The beauty of a slow cooker is you do all the prep the night before. Then in the morning all you have to do is put it in the slow cooker and turn it on! Viola! You come home to dinner!

BBQ pulled chicken and YES i put the chicken in frozen!!!! It came out rediculously tender!!!
6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce (we used the jack daniels!!)
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Place chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian salad dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.
Cover, and cook 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.
This sounds delicious! I'm making this tomorrow!

lizzie, does the bbq pulled chicken come out really sweet or more on the tangy side?
neither.... id say well balanced. the salad dressing really negates the sweetness of the bbq sauce. i dont usually like anything with bbq and i loved it!!!!

I got my mom a slow cooker and she REFUSES to use it unless she will be home for the whole 6-8 hours that it will be on. Which means she uses it like once a month.
Seriously, its OK!!! Its made to do that!!

Do you ever leave a light on or a hair dryer plugged in? It's basically the same thing! Although, I work 3-11(ish) and DH works 4-12 so I usually run mine overnight while I'm sleeping - Dh eats it for lunch and then I pack it for dinner.

Re: Hey Slow Cookers!
I only used mine once and made honey bbq baby back ribs...they came out soooo yummy. You can do it with ribs or wings. I'll post in a few the recipe.4lbs baby back ribs trimmed seasoned with salt and pepper to taste
1 bottle prepared honey bbq sauce (I used the honey bbq jack daniels sauce)
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1tsp garlic powder
I squeezed some honey in there as well
place ribs into slow cooker
mix bbq sauce, mustard, garlic, honey in bowl, pour over ribs and turn ribs to coat.
cook on low for 8 hrs, or on high for 4 hrs until they are fork tender
skim fat from sauce, stir sauce and serve with ribs.

I actually have my slow cooker going right now for the first time ever (fingers crossed my house is still standing when I get home!).
I'm making some kind of cheesy chicken recipe. If it's any good, I'll post the recipe!
So, my house was still standing when I got home
and dinner was pretty good I have to say.
This dish is pretty heavy though, so FYI
Cream Cheese Chicken
Ingredients:
--1 can cream-of-something soup
--1/2 cup chicken broth
--frozen chicken pieces
--packet of Italian salad dressing mix
--2 cloves minced garlic
--block of cream cheese (to add later)
--Pasta of your choice
Directions:
Put everything except for the cream cheese into the crockpot. Cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and begins to shred. Shred the chicken with two large forks, and mix in the block of cream cheese. Switch the crock to high and cook for another 30 minutes, or until the cream cheese is fully melted. Serve over pasta.

Re: Hey Slow Cookers!
Dinner is ready for tonight!
I put it on lastnight at like 10am, this morning the food was ready, and because I woke up after the 9 hours it was on, it went to a 'Warm' setting. Smells sooo good, chicken is falling apart and I can't wait to try it tonight! I can get used to cooking like this!

It actually safer than leaving half the things we leave plugged in all day. It is made for this type of use! Just try it, you'll be fine!

Re: Hey Slow Cookers!
I think I can do it without the actual website - it was so easy!1. I put in 3 chicken breasts cut in thirds - they were the big thick ones
2. 2 red peppers chopped up into large chunks
3. 1 large onion cut up
4. About 6 smaller tomatoes cut up into quarters
5. 1/2 cup of white wine
6. 4 garlic cloves
7. Black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper, oregano, parsley (I didn't have basil)
8. About 6 mushrooms cut into quarters
9. 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
First, I put in the onions on the bottom of the crock pot, then put in the chicken, and then added the peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, oil, and wine on top of it. Covered it, and put it on low for 9 hours over night. I haven't tasted it yet so I'll report on that tonight!
