Re: Now that you're married--

i guess it depends on the person. i go out for coffee with an old friend every now and then, she is single and having trouble finding someone but she has such good self esteem that it doesnt bother her each time something goes wrong and so i dont mind hanging out with her... on the other had i have another single friend that each time i try to talk to her she gives me one word answers, almost as if she is pissed that i am married and she's not. she also gets pissed if i only can give her time for a quick meeting vs. hanging out with her all day. in this instance i just have stopped trying.

Re: Now that you're married--

I don't mind hanging out with my single girlfriends, most of them are single. But I'm also getting to a point with most of my friends where they want to be in committed relationships so they're not into 'going out to pick up guys' they just want to hang with their girlfriends and have a good time. Although at the same time, it's nice to hang out with other married girls because you can just relate more. You're into buying things for your home, or cooking, or being a wife and not only the typical life drama.

Re: Now that you're married--

not that i prefer hanging out with my married/in relationship friends, but it just seems like i see them a lot more...
all my single friends are going out to bars etc..and a. im too broke to do that
and b. im soo over that sort of thing!

im an old married lady! my idea of a good time is playing scattegories on a saturday night and ordering food and drinking wine! LOL

Re: Now that you're married--

my DH's friends are all married (some with kids) and i feel like we see them more and they are more mature than my single friends. sometimes i do prefer to hang out with the married folks more cause we have more things in common.

Re: Now that you're married--

This sounds like my sister! I agree with you, I have a much lower tolerance for these things. I do still hang out with my friends, we just dont go 'looking for guys'. And if we did DH wouldn't care anyway, he trusts me.

Most of my friends are single, but I would prefer to hang out with couples if possible.
