VFW Hall, etc. that is very reasonable?

Hi, guys,

Not sure if I can pull it off because money is so tight but was hoping to throw DH a surprise 40th birthday party in October. Since his birthday is a week before Halloween and he always wished he was born on Halloween, I was thinking of making it a costume party.

Any ideas of reasonable VFW, American Legion, etc. in Nassau area?

Hi. We just booked the KOC in New Hyde Park on Marcus Ave for my FIL's 75th b-day in December.
Works out to about $37 per person which includes the gratuity, tax and hall rental.

my FSIL owns the catering company in Inwood that's part of the VFW (in the downstairs)... it's a great party room!

the only one i know of is in Kings Park.. my sis had her son's christening party there..
you should just call around and see if they can give you quotes!

Thanks, everyone; I'm going to make a few phone calls just to see if the price is right and I can pull it off. He does so much for me and I would love to do this for him.

If you know anyone who belongs to a moose lodge they can get you and get you a great price, but they only allow members to book, but it can members friends who actually have the party.

And there's an American Legion hall in Seaford that is pretty nice. My friend had her sons 1st birthday there.

where are you located?

This is not a VFW but it's a catering hall that shares space with the VFW- it's called the Imperial Room and it's in Inwood.

MIL had my shower there- it was very nice and the food and decor were also nice as well.

The American Legion in Lindenhurst is 13.00 pp for open bar and the hall. You just have to bring in the food yourself.
