Both of our parents were extremely generous and paid for everything for the wedding and we paid for the honeymoon. DH's parents gave us a card and $ as a wedding gift and my parents gave us a card and paid off the remainder of my student loans from grad school as a wedding gift since that was what we would have put some money towards anyway.

my mom gave us some money for deposits for certain vendors. when leo got sick and when we got hit with that crazy vet bill she helped with that too. she didnt get us any gifts

my mil paid for our dj and our rd. oh and she gave us a phat check which we felt really bad taking. i let dh handle that

My parents: About 1/3 the cost of the eparty, half (?) of my shower, the RH, and a check in a card
IL: 2/3 the eparty, the RD, a check double what my parents gave us in a card.

My Parents paid for about half the wedding, then each gave us (they are divorced) a $$ gift in a card as a gift. Paid for my shower as well

FH's parents paid for the rehearsal dinner, no card for the wedding but gave us a very generous check 2 weeks before the wedding to help with expenses.
