DH & I Are in our thirties & finacially sound. So we paid for our own wedding. Our parents gave us very generous 'gifts'($$$$$$) of course in a card. We were very suprised & thankful. It was very very very kind. Also my inlaws paid for the rehearsal dinner &bought all of my china at my shower. My parents paid for my dress & shower along with my sisters. My parents bought my bedding set & curtains etc for our master bedroom.

My father & step mom pd for:
My dress, alterations, gifted us miles for my HM plane ticket, 1/2 my veil cost & my head piece
The Flowers, limo, photo/video, priest & all related tips
& 1/2 my shower. no card or gift for the shower or wedding....I honestly didnt care about the gift but a card would of been nice.

My IL's pd for the e-party location, 1/2 the shower & the RD PLUS they gave us a card & VERY generous gift. PLUS they gave us stuff off our reg for x-mas, my shower & my b-day. They really went above & beyond!

We pd for: 1/2 my veil, tux, hotel room night b/f & night of the wedding & our HM, DH's HM plane ticket, photo booth, lighting, jewerly....all the extras for wedding & e-party.

my mom paid for my dress and shower. My parents gave us $$$ and a card.
His parents gave us $$$ before the wedding and just a card at the wedding.
They were all very generous and we are very grateful!

His parents: paid for the RD - no card, no other gift

My mom: paid for EVERYTHING I wore (wouldn't let me buy anything myself) and flowers. No card (which now that I think about it, isn't like her - she must have forgotten)

My dad and stepmom: bought us a bunch of stuff from the registry and gave us a card.

MIL did nothing. But she did make a couple of things for the E-party and helped put together the programs. I don't remember if we got a card from her or not...

FIL literally did nothing, didn't even bother to show up. Don't even get me started.

My parents paid for 3/4 of the wedding and also gave us a down payment on a new car for DH as our wedding present, plus a little bit of cash and a card on the day of.

Both are parents helped out with some aspects of the wedding.

my parents paid for the reception and added upgrades, my shower, dress, gave us a shower gfit. they did not give us a wedding gift... they gave us MORE than we ever expected already!

FH parents - paid for RD, gave us some $ to help with the wedding when we got engaged and then gave a gift as well.

Both our parents are awesome!

my parents gave us a very generous $$ but it wasnt at the wedding she paid the down payment on our car, and put the rest towards my amex bill that i owed her... she paid for my dress and my alterations

my parents paid for e-party, so we were able to keep all the gifts (which became our HM budget). his folks gave us eparty gift comparable to cost of party, so it was practically equal

both parents, sisters, and MOH split cost of shower

both parents got us shower gifts, his probably went a bit overboard with pots and pans and stuff. my mom got me kitchen aid

we paid the entire wedding ourself - dress, favors, reception, vendors, everything.

both parents gave us cards with generous $$ gifts

My Parents paid for 99% of the wedding. FFIL paid for about what our flroal contact was.

All our parents got us cards. FFIL and my Dad gave a gift on top of the wedding. My parents split the RD. My mother paid for my shower, my gown and all day of accessoried, surprised me with chair sashes on the wedding day and she had a running tally of money that I owed her over the years, she told me to tear it up the morning of the wedding

We were both incredibly lucky!

My parent paid for 75 percent of wedding
Dh parent paid for 20 percent
We paid for 5 percent mostly my attire and favors which I made myself

My brother paid for our entire hm which mad us sooooo happy.

My mom paid for entire shower plus a whole load of gifts

His mom gave us some great shower gifts also..

My parents paid for the wedding but are over the top amazing so they decided to pay for our honeymoon as a wedding gift (like the wedding wasn't enough! )

My IL's gave us a card. With nothing in it. They gave us $1000 towards the RD (which didn't pay for the whole thing). They had said previously they were going to give us $10k as a wedding gift...still waiting on that one

Our parents both gave us money...actually, the same amount. My parents also paid for my dress, RD, RH, and I needed her to spot me for the tips, and she said dont worry about paying it back.

Both my mom and my IL's paid for all of the wedding 'stuff' so no gifts from them.

My father did give us a gift since he didn't contribute to the wedding.

My mom gave us $ towards the wedding and a card. MIL gave FH eer.. DH the option to cash out the life insurance policy she had on him.

My parents paid for most of the wedding. They did not give us a gift, but gave us a card. IL's paid for parts of the wedding (DJ mainly), as well as the RD, and gave us a very generous gift. They offered to give us the gift before the wedding if we needed money to book the honeymoon, or any thing else we couldn't cover. We took them up on that. They gave us a card on our wedding day. We're super lucky to have parents who are able to help us and are generous.
