thankfully no... but the sad thing is that i think i'm the mean one when we fight

- i try to keep myself in check becasue he NEVER says anything hurtful and it's not fair to unload on him when he never 'goes there' with me.

Luckily we don't fight very often! I get hurt very easily and I try to keep quite b/c i don't want to cause a fight with certain things. Which I know isn't good either. But over all I think we've had 1 bad fight where i tried to sleep on our super comfy couch but he wouldn't let me.

Thanks for the input ladies....

I never say hurtful things to DH when we fight but he always does. He always apologizes after but it doesn't make it any easier.

I am trying to not let it bother me bc it only started after his father passed away (he has ALOT of pent up feelings about it) but still it hurts...

It was like this thread was on omen for me.

We just had a rip roaring fight. Can you believe that he was pissssed when I started crying? Like flat out mad, so he started in with the hurtful stuff. Said I was fat and lazy. He's quite a doll when he's mad. Surprised it wasn't worse than that.

And he wonders why my self esteems sucks.

yes...we both do, like ' I hate you' 'your so stupid' ...i guess it comes with the nature of fighting, but we both apologize, obviously dont mean it, and than sometimes i stay silent, and just let him ramble and talk cr@p, and than later on he feels really bad and usually apologizes stating he was harsh and it was unecessary...when were both mad its hard for us to talk it out, we usually just yell scream, and than a day or later we communicate about the REAL issue..

We get into bad fights but actually somehow we manage to not be out and out mean...we may say hurtful things, but mostly its based on truth (Me telling him he's acting like his mother or father, him saying I'm acting like my father).

DH doesnt but I do. that's how I grew up and now im trying my best to change it.

I had the ugliest fight with DH today and he said some very hurtful things. I dont care how much he apologizes, I wont forget them and they wont hurt any less.

Seriously, he broke my heart today. I cannot even look at him.
