Not really. We are both very careful not to cross the line and say anything that's really hurtful.

I had the ugliest fight with DH today and he said some very hurtful things. I dont care how much he apologizes, I wont forget them and they wont hurt any less.

Seriously, he broke my heart today. I cannot even look at him.

DH doesnt fight mean like that, but I have definitely been with people who do and have had some very hurtful things said to me by someone I cared a lot about.

And it succcccks. a whole bunch!

Yes...he's more mean then I am but I do say mean things...mostly about his family (when we are fighting about them).

Worst fight ever was when he told me my parents didn't love me and clearly loved my 2 sisters more.

DH and I don't often fight... but when we do - it's almost civilized. Crazy cause I was never like that with anyone else!

Very rarely does he say anything hurtful... and I consentrate hard not to. There are times when he says something so truthful that it hurts ... but I guess that's on me.

He never has/does, ever.

I on the other hand have unleashed like an animal but only when Ive been blackout drunk and then I dont ever remember and have to apologize profusely on the horrible things he tells me I said.


Hasnt happened in a long time.

Neither of us do. Not at this point.

I'm not a big fan of yelling or name calling with your spouse. So, we work hard not do those things.

Never. I can be very sensitive and he's a really nice guy and doesn't want to see me cry. He jokes around and says 'mean' things but never seriously.

It was like this thread was on omen for me.

We just had a rip roaring fight. Can you believe that he was pissssed when I started crying? Like flat out mad, so he started in with the hurtful stuff. Said I was fat and lazy. He's quite a doll when he's mad. Surprised it wasn't worse than that.

And he wonders why my self esteems sucks.

We have totally different fighting styles, so fights suckk majorly. Thankfully, they dont happen too much and have gotten better.

I need to learn to give him space when he's pisssed because if not, mean things will be said in anger.

He likes to give the silent treatment until he cools off, and this makes me cry, and makes him madder. fun times!

We were on a cruise & he said he was going to throw me overboard if I misbehave. I made sure to stay in public places the rest of the trip.
